Azeroth Reimagined is a passion project exploring how World of Warcraft's iconic zones could be expanded while preserving the spirit, lore and design philosophy of Classic WoW.
Continuing from Dun Morogh and Loch Modan,
we journey into the war-torn marshes of the Wetlands.
The Wetlands are far more than a passage between the northern kingdoms of Lordaeron
and Khaz Modan. The region has been shaped by decades of conflict,
from the fall of Grim Batol to the Second War and the ongoing struggles
between the Alliance, Dragonmaw Orcs and Dark Iron Dwarves.
With Menethil Harbor serving as one of the Alliance's most important ports,
the Wetlands remain a critical link between the Bronzebeard kingdom and the wider Alliance.
Yet despite its strategic importance, much of the region remains heavily contested,
with its remaining settlements and fortifications isolated
and its borders constantly threatened.
00:00 Introduction
1:14 Regional Overview
6:11 Powers & Politics
9:27 Economy & Infrastructure
11:30 Threats & Events
14:18 New Gameplay Opportunities
27:56 Improved Worldbuilding
40:02 Conclusion & Outro
In this video, we reimagine how the zone could evolve in a Classic+ setting by building upon its existing lore, geography and gameplay:
From new questlines and reputation factions to environmental storytelling and worldbuilding.
Here, we combine established Warcraft lore with personal speculation and Classic+ concepts.

Some elements of the video, including artwork and visual assets, were created or assisted using generative AI tools.
AI has only been used for the PNGs of my avatar, some icons and supporting assets (such as the three icons featured in the thumbnail)
and the potential new "chain shirt" shown in the final chapter.
Everything else is created and edited by hand.
In the future, I may consider having my avatar recreated by an artist, but for now this remains a hobby project created with limited time and resources.

I'm looking forward to your feedback and discussion.
