That ending still gives me so much childhood trauma, one of the few horror movies that has genuinely scared me.

Many old films, especially horror, had some pretty disgusting pedo moments.  Watched the original Last House on the Left and was also very surprised at how they normalized sexualizing younger girls on there too. Wes Craven directed porn before his film debut with LHOTL, then I realized that THIS is why so many men in that industry move the way they do. It's all part of the foundation in Hollywood, sexualizing and taking advantage of minors, which is horrible to say the least. Makes you rethink the whole industry tbh

The movie ending is iconic

saw this movie years ago when it showed on cable. they would always show the sequels on cable on channel called The Chiller channel and eventually they would show the first movie, it was mostly the sequels they tend to show all the time.

I'm so happy y'all reviewed this! It's a cult classic and I rewatch it every October with my friends.

I watch Sleepaway Camp for the first time last week and I enjoy it. The ending was funny to me and I didn't know they made more of these.
