Better alone than in bad company.

We are all alone in this together

Traveling alone is the best way to not feel lonely. Not knowing anyone makes you just do whatever you want without feeling the need of asking a friend or relative to go with you. Also helps you meet other people sometimes like it happened to you.

Especially when you are hurt or heartbroken loneliness is soóooo exhausting and cruel. Being okay alone is the basis of being happy and not relying on others

Aloneness over loneliness. Being alone is a gift. It's amazing.

I'm a 37 year old bloke and I have never been as lonely as I am now. I am surrounded by my family but not my friends and the one person who meant everything to me no longer exists. I will try to go places and do thing i used to enjoy by myself and just enjoy them. I often think I will die alone and nobody will come to my funeral. Thinking about that hurts more than anything.

I was worried from the title, but I'm glad that you've come to terms with your perhaps intro/ambiversion... I can relate.. I consider myself introverted, but I enjoy the time with small groups of friends.. So, I consider myself an ambivert with slight introverted tendencies.. Anyway, love your videos! Take care of yourself!

I can relate to everyone but nobody can relate to me. Being alone is actually kinda addictive.

we your subscribers are always here for you.... We can relate to you... WE CARE ABOUT YOU and we like you alottttt I am also in same situation...

I literally just found your channel and in this video I see so much of myself, my own struggles and my relationships to friends who live far away

Erika this is far so human and normal. I think everyone goes through this or needs to go through this and reconcile with this. Being ok with being alone is the key to loving yourself from there you can engage the world on your terms. Big hugs. Love this video. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and raw emotions. Great advice for the young and old.

Loneliness its part of being human. Trust me it gets better in time, once you accept it you find ways to go along with it and being happy with yourself. We spend too much time to others leaving our selves behind. You are your best friend , love yourself.

What a coincidence, I actually stayed in the same hostel in Stockholm with a friend, and we met so many kind people! ...It’s so true that we’re social beings who crave connection, but I also loved the way you highlighted the difference between being alone and feeling lonely. Hobbies really do help fill that space in such a meaningful way. Really appreciate the vulnerability and saw myself a lot in this and honestly, this was such a heartwarming video! thank you for sharing!

You are so wise and calm. You would also do well with podcasts.

I feel so relieved to see someone similar to me (even in the bad habits). It takes so much gut to record yourself and talk about something like this that's been with you for a long time. Thank you so much ♥️

Being alone, painting, with good music is preferable to being surrounded with people who don't accept you as you are. Happy to hear you got more comfortable being by yourself. I too can confirm that this made me more open to connecting with other people, and they seem more willing to spend time with me too!

Hostels are great way to meet people sometimes.  Once in a smaller city in Germany in a youth hostel, I met two German women who just returned from a Central or South American country volunteered there and they had such interesting stories I heard during breakfast.

As an introvert I get it.  Loneliness is a feeling that sometimes can be watched or questioned and it will go away.  For example, if you feel that no one cares about you, you can ask yourself, is that true?  You do have friends, so it is not.  I think the best antidote is what you did, Erika, go out and be open to meeting people and talking and sharing.  You can then see the beauty in other people this is how we made friends years ago, we just forgot what it was like to be younger, in school or uni.  But introverts are reenergised by alone time, so don’t see that as bad, it’s needed, then you can go back out and bring your best self.

I heard once that when a man is approximately in his teens that is the moment, when he finds out that the truth is that he is alone and this continues to the end of his life. I think I could agree with that. When you are not a kid anymore you understand that your parents, although could be nearby you, cannot protect you from all danger in life, friends or relatives come and go and your own kids will not be there always for you. You have to figure out how to live alone, as you came to this world alone and someday leave this world alone. Its the truth that should be accepted. I recall often the words, that its up to you to create meaningful and fulfilling life for yourself, regardless who comes along your way. So I think that this is kinda healthy to have moments of solitude. It allows to look at your life from perspective

You are very full of wisdom at your age. I love how relatable you are. I am in my late 20s and I also feel the same way.
