The storyline is tea :face-blue-smiling: My mom is Sewist too and customers really dropped tea, especially when they're a returning customer.

14:50 Bows are cut on the bias because it lets them stretch more when cut. Bias==stretch. That's why bias tape is also cut at an angle. This was before elastic fabrics existed. Bias cut also helps with more flowy draping.

Seeing you talk about prices after buying ten whole meters is pretty funny haha

Buying that much fabric at once is insane. 10 m is 11 yards. To give you an idea, 7 meters of 1.5 meter fabric is enough for a cape. and plenty for a coat or a wedding dress without a train. 4-5 meters is for a short dress without ruffles. 5 m is more likely for a ruffled dress. At least the game is realistic that way.

omg! my first thought when i saw the game trailer was that this seems so in depth that it could be used for testing out real patterns. i'm a novice sewist whose least favorite part is drafting patterns and making mockups just to realize it doesnt work, so anything that streamlines that process would be a godsend for me lol but anyone i've seen who mentions this idea has gotten replies saying it's not possible because the patterns are simplified and wouldn't work in real life. as a more experienced sewist what do you think? excited to try this game out regardless, it looks awesome!!

How did you not notice the sleeves on the first dress are supposed to be in the other fabric according to your design 😢  nevermind you did in the end.. but took so long!

Very detailed.  Only thing i see that is different from real sewing is that when you start and stop pieces you forward a couple stitches then go back a few then back forward.  This locks the pieces in place preventing them from unraveling.  I hope later you can modify the patterns like to make them longer or adding to sleeves.

sewist? honest question: thought it was called seamstress.
eihterway at 16:20 -something you were talking about the angle. best guess would be the fabric alignment, like, this one didnt have a pattern but it may have todo with pattern or with the weaving of the fabric

Sometime, I am worried about the rise of digitization of Jobs/Activities/Hobbies.
You can change the speed of the sewing machine if you have trouble.
