To many elitest comments. You could like this video and this creator without putting down the other players who are just having fun playing a video game. Be kinder folks. You don't need to type out every crappy thought. 🙄
Anyways, I came here to see how someone familiar with fashion design plays the game and I really enjoyed it. You made some beautiful designs and I had fun watching. 😊 I would love to see an update that adds pants, shorts, etc. I hope if we get a sequel that they add menswear too. That would be really fun to design. 😁
At last, someone who knows how to place pattern pieces to waste less fabric, has an eye for colour and is as perfectionist as I am about sewing accurately. It’s been torture watching some of the YouTubers who have been playing this! Someone used silk for a bodice and added velvet flutter sleeves. I know it’s only a game but it was strangely painful to watch 🤣🤣🤣
The game won me over when I realized tutorial cues do not lock you out of doing something else. Probably took considerable coding effort to handle a million edge cases that creates, but so nice. Wish more games did that.
I would have loved to watch more of this video, but the in-game music was far too loud. When the volume was low enough that the music was tolerable, I couldn’t hear you. 😭
as someone with a college level experience in fashion design, this is like a breath of fresh air compared to all the play throughs i've seen so far. no shade to the others tho 😭😭
Pro tip when drafting a pattern you can click on the box with the title (like “princess bodice”) and it’ll bring up a menu of all the designs that you can filter through. It’s especially helpful once you unlock more styles!
Really enjoyed someone who actually knows how to design clothes try this game. Though some of these dress prompt are painful to design, I had to make sequins cuffs because I needed more than the bodice to meet the 10% and I wasn't adding them to the pink silk skirt. The biggest tip I have is for directional fabric is to slowly drag from the sidebar(if turned put it back) then rotate the same direction for all the pieces, when the pieces are put in the sidebar they orientate themselves top up. I know grain direction matters but as long as you sew it together well it will meet the quality needed, the gradient fabrics are a bit tricky to get the gradient to actually show on the dress and I had to place them at 75 cross to get the gradient to show in the skirt.
Played the game for two days but now I'm away from my PC. Really loved watching you learn game mechanics, you are the first person that did that fast enough for me to not get annoyed😅 Thank you for the video
As someone who also sews, I commend you on your pattern layouts! It's a skill that immediately shows your existing skill at sewing, after watching so many people struggle with learning it!
You did such a good job on Prudence's dress! Great color coordination and good eye for detail with the piping used to accent it. I think I bit off more than I could chew on that one when I was playing.
