I've said it before, but it bears repeating. If I announced my intention to acquire the rights to Gilmore Girls specifically so I could use that IP as a vehicle to gripe about how solipsistically juvenile I consider soap operas, and hired the original mom just to get her to give voice to those same criticisms?
I would (correctly) be looked at like I was completely unhinged. But for some reason? I've been told to smile & nod while observing the logical opposite happen for over a decade at this point.
If we asked Alex Kurtzman to reboot this scene from Naruto all the characters would just announce their gender identities and then proclaim they've already passed the test by being awesome! Then the mainstream media would right glowing puff pieces about it and proclaim you weren't a real Naruto fan if you didn't like it.
It gets even funnier: The mom wasn't even sent to prison. It was explicitly stated that she had visiting rights. Like, Caleb just had to do nothing, and his life would have been objectively better. Then there's the fact that they base all of that on a food shortage... in a world where they have unlimited food thanks to replicators. Or the fact that the relationship between Captain Barefeet and Caleb is a textbook toxic relationship. Like, he does something wrong at every opportunity, like constantly breaking laws, but then acts as if he's doing her a favour by staying around and not going to prison as he should. And she is so riddled by guilt (for some reason) that she bends over backwards to accommodate him. As if he were an abusive lover telling his victim that everything is her fault and she better make it right, or else. Great guy.
On another note, I don't think that even Naruto would be dumb or gluttonous enough to swallow his com badge.
It is unfathomable how restarted that line is. A bloody AI would have written a better show than this dreck. This Star Dreck.
I know my question will probably be answered when I keep watching the video, but I just have to ask: I am ten seconds in, is that really the show with the original sound? No edits?
Because if yes, I am... Well, speechless might be inaccurate to describe what I am feeling, but YouTube will probably not like my exact words.
I am sick and almost died of laughter in the last scene. Robert Picardo really needed that Paycheck. And nobody at Paramount was able to find the script what Patrick Stewart was saying.🤣🤣
The thing that is the most frustrating is that they have the first have of a lesson (but don't have an outcome.) We have two headstrong, immature characters: the princess who believes she was born to rule and the jock who strives to be better than everyone else. This should be an opportunity for the princess to learn how to follow orders (that is important for a military cadet) and the jock having to learn to trust and delegate. They even have the perfect character to teach them in the nerdy kid who is a natural follower but also tenacious enough to endure the blue woman. The three of them could come out stronger. Characters viewers could get behind because we see the start of growth and want to follow them into adulthood.
"Takes daddy issues to a whole new level" is not a line for any character in any Star Trek, ever. It's not Star Trek dialogue. It simply exists outside the Star Trek context. That's as clear as it can be stated. This show is full of such lines. It is not Star Trek.
Never stop making those videos, because they are more interesting and entertaining than watching those new movies/shows. I even sometimes rewatch the older and better version like the Lord of the Rings trilogy after your videos.
lol, the first 13 seconds of this video already had me groaning.....is this seriously the show? Also, I love how non-threatening your voice sounds while absolutely thrashing these shows, lol. Like Gandhi taking the piss out of someone.🤣
This was a surprisingly well articulated video. I actually feel like rewatching Naruto now because I forgot about some of those stories. You earned a sub.
