I didn't understand why Grumley saying "I have a dexterity of 10" was funny until I looked it up and found out that 10 Dex is the baseline dexterity of the average NPC villager.

15:06 The thing I love about this bit is that the DM was playing the character as intentionally mishearing the players to benefit their own business. "Toboggan" came from "to bargain."

One of my favorite subtle little plot threads in this campaign is the fact that Grumley has the biggest, sweetest crush on Booker and Booker in turn goes out of his way to ensure Grumley is taken care of and protected. Very sweet and wholesome in sucn a hilariously off-the-wall storyline.

31:55 This part shows how WELL they can throw themselves into a bit by the way Derek transitions from Bitsy's voice to his own to simulate a Bad Drug Trip. It's one of my favorites.

This is why Derek is a graduate of clown school

so first things first, the DM for Uprooted is Mikey who played both Gricko and Chuckles in Witchlight
Nikki, who DM'd Witchlight is playing Peggy
Bitsy (who is a girl) is played by Derek (who is not) who was Morning Frost in Witchlight
Grumley is voiced by Richie (who is Mikey's identical twin) who played Kremy
Booker is voiced by Andy who played Torbek
Andy's Wife, Kelsey, (who wasnt in Witchlight) plays Hazel
Mace, who played Gideon, joins Uprooted in S2 as Jean Claude

Bitsy is the most clueless menace to society to ever grace the earth and I love em 😭🤣

The Avantris crew is legitimately unhinged. Every last one of them.

Me and all my friends called the Big & Tasty the Big & Nasty, so that joke brings back some good memories.

Okay from someone who has been playing D&D and other Tabletop RPGs for 30 years: The most important part is that everyone is having fun, and to make sure everyone is having fun, including the DM. And just communicate like adults if there are problems, preferably not in the middle of sessions. Communication and a bit of empathy solves so many problems.

Capsaicin only affects mammals, it's true. That said, there are other spices that do affect reptiles and/or birds. A coworker of mine fed a bit of bread from his pastrami sandwich to a tiny bird and the mustard really bothered the bird afterwards. Or he was lying to me about.

If I had a nickel for every cinnamon roll vtuber in my collection, I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

31:10 don't worry, neither do they.

11:12 They're actually color-coded(most of the time) for each person once you take notice. Though knowing the color coding along with the irl shorts definitely helped me identify the voices and who's playing who when animated shorts of other campaigns I haven't seen are made. Also, some campaigns have a different DM within the group, just like how Uprooted is DMed by Mikey(Gricko from Witchlight, also Chuckles) which is pretty interesting and I guess a healthy rotational way to play.
