Season 2 Weight Loss is self-talk and emotional/physical shedding — drum-heavy, Ellie Rowsell (Wolf Alice) on backing vocals, Tom Skinner in the studio even though it sounds like touring drummer Sarah. Coming Up Roses is Harry’s only solo-written track; Jules Buckley arranged the strings; started as a Christmas idea; 1940s-timeless. Paint By Numbers is the somber “I’m just Harry” closer-before-the-closer. Carla’s Song is the album’s last word — showing a friend Simon & Garfunkel, “it’s all waiting there for you.” Ryan calls it his favorite on the record. No stinkers. Harry Tie-les era.
