God vs Evolution - Who Created Humans? The Blind Watchmaker - FutureIQ

How evolution created humans and other complex life forms? Find out in this episode.
It is very difficult to fathom how evolution works and how a unicellular organism can turn into a complex living being like a Tiger or a Human. To help you learn the theory of evolution in an effective manner, we decided to go with an example of how an eye could have evolved from just a simple bacterium. Once you understand how a complex design can be formed by evolution by natural selection, you’ll be able to apply similar logic to explain other complex designs you find in nature.

I recently discovered your channel and I really love how you manage to explain things without dumbing it down too much.
But only thing I would suggest is that the anchor should not interrupt the speaker so much. I understand your enthusiasm and love the format of conversation but we need a listener and a speaker. If you keep interrupting neither of you can make your point.

Simply, one of the best programme on knowledge of modern topics. No dubious reasoning. No political slant. Thankyou.

A humble advice for the host ...Do not Overreact Bro 😂

The theory of disuse is even more fascinating. We can make Vitamin D from sunlight, but we can't synthesize Vitamin C from our diet. However, animals like frogs and horses can. When out primate ancestors moved into the trees they started eating much more fruit and veg which supplies Vit. C on its own. The apparatus for making it was not essential for survival anymore, so "bad" mutations that destroyed this ability were not fatal, and there was no penalty for such mutations. Over time the ability to make Vit. C was lost.

Great work guys. Need more science based podcasts in our country. Please keep it up.

Thank you for the great discussion! Very insightful... Please do theory of simulation vs reality - would love to know Navin's perspective about this topic. Like Srikanth's reactions - keeps the video conversation flow and interesting! Well done team👍 and BW, keep the content coming

You guys did a wonderful work on outlining the evolution of an eye. Any how it well get even more complicated since light sensitive patch would render useless if it’s not backed with processing unit. Explaining evolution based on coupling between this two phenomenon is even more challenging.

Excellent. I wish students in middle school r taught evolution like this.

I like their match and really interesting and completely mindful. I like the question asking habit of the host ...his expression and wat reminds our confusion...👍👍

Our eye has a blind spot.its a design flaw. Our optical nerves that capture the light is on the other side of the eye ball. Funny design

Very well explained.

Teachers are always teachers. My parents were and even today they talk like him. No need presentation material, they can convey the message clearly, as long as you pay attention

I like your videos. It's very informative ❤. But the plant in the centre is a distraction. My suggestion is it can be replaced with a picture frame on the wall.

Dear Navin & Shrikant ,your programs are excellent . Your topics are filling the vast missing gap of Useful , listen worthy YT talks. Many tks .
If you2 can do a detail talk about the Lord Budha focusing on both the preaching and the history it will be a absolutely a great work.Bcz a new society has been developing for last 15 years ,who claim that Lord Budha born in SriLanka not in India. I can provid you gentlemen all the refferences they used to prove that Budha born in SL. Also I can provide other side refferences too , they will be a kindof guide to scan the info.
Tks

This channel does what our teachers ignore during science classes. They ignore evolution theory and propogate stupid stuff.

really love your channel.. huge respect for both of you, together you make difficult concepts so easy to understand

Keep the chemistry bet u two going, love it

@sumamahhamidullah3754 1 year ago (edited)

Basic question remaings the same..How did blind chemistry give rise to structured, functional complexity—like a gene sensitive to light? How does intelligence of sensitvnes of light emerge from non-intelligent matter in first place...it is like it can happness only if the simple system has capability of understanding much higher complex things at later stage...how life evolved in first palce?
