My dad watched this when I was so young I never understood what he was laughing at, brings so many memories back watching these as my dad no longer here I now understand why he laughed this is the best comedy alongside only fools and horses

Nicholas Lyndhurst is so young in this. Ronnie Barker was a legend, as was Richard Beckinsale.

“Show me a milkman in high heels and I’ll show you a Dairy Queen”  LMAO!  Gotta love classic British comedy 😂

The genius of Ronnie is that he is as good in roles like this and in things like Open All Hours. Versatile and even got better over the years.

The first 5 minutes of the first episode contain more comedy than the whole last year of the entire current comedy circuit.

This series is criminally underappreciated.

Never seen this series until this day and now watched the whole episodes back to back, bloody great show.

Ronnie is an angel with dinged-up feathers... Heart of gold. Sets a good example for all.

RIP Patricia Brake. Thanks for the laughs (and the high C).

“Nothing can be loved or hated unless it first understood.” ― Leonardo da Vinci.

Every few months or so I come back to watch this series.

It's a brilliant piece of work.

The best thing Ronnie Barker did in my opinion.

Playing Raymond was good practice for playing Rodney,

This man makes me angry with the new actors nowadays sitting around waiting for an award when they can’t even hold a candle to this man THIS IS TV

Ronnie Barker a legend

Love Ronnie & Richard rip young men great actors

When I first found,, open all hours,, for a whole year I thought  RB really stuttered.  When I found this today I  was  stunned at his plain speaking.  True.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏😘😘😘😘😘RIP  Ronnie.

We also sadly lost the beautiful  Patricia Brake from cancer in 2022. Reminds me of how short and fleeting life is. 😢

22:13 Arkwright "If I can help somm b body, as I pass along"

The young actress who plays the little waif gives a beautifully convincing performance. As she exclaims "I can look after me self!" we know how vulnerable she really is.

Those were the days when you go to the match without making a major financial decision first.
