How many incredible shots do we miss simply because we don’t feel like heading out?

In this video, I take a short drive to Stiffkey to visit the famous Salt Marshes. The sea lavender bloom is in full bloom and I've missed this for the last few years, which is just silly of me.

What started as unpromising, flat light quickly turned into a dramatic sunset with incredible cloud formations.

I'm putting the K&F square filter system to work with long exposures, playing with polarizers, and reminding myself of one of the biggest photography mistakes we all make: assuming conditions won't deliver and staying at home.

I prefer the cracked mud view "below" the reflection - tells the story of the summer we've just had 🙂

Always entertaining with some great results, Andrew. Ironically, I'll be driving to Old Hunstanton tomorrow, but it's for a beach dog walk and not a photography outing. My dog's a nutcase and it's impossible to combine the two!

I understand. It has been at least a week sense I have took my camera out of the bag and all of the sudden the last 3 days have been very enjoyable and I got some nice shots. I guess my heart wasn't quit in it either. Some days can be difficult at times.

Cracked mud, detail in monochrome with a little background. Otherwise like you say, a bit of sky reflection.

When you’ve long exposure and see the photo “growing” on the screen, how do you properly use the camera? Is a cable release the best option to avoid camera shake? Or do youngsters the OI.Share app from Olympus?

You always amaze me with your ability to extract great images from something I would struggle to take the lens cap off for. Looked at the scenery around you while you were talking to camera and saw absolutely nothing of interest. Think I should give up!!! Assume much of the final image work is being done in post and would be interested in watching a couple of these. Also, do you use any ''stitching'' software to create wide panoramic images?? Love the content, and your down to earth attitude. Thanks.
