I Used a Fake Identity to Enter a Painting Competition! (Capital Palette at Nova Open)

This is my second time entering a painting competition, and I've crafted a new identity to help me enter anonymously! Spoilers, Capital Palette at the Nova Open is a well-run event, and it was also a lot of fun!

The minis in this video were sculpted by Twin Goddess Miniatures. Adam at TG is a friend, and he has done some sculpting for me in the past... and the Send In The Goblins Kickstarter is totally worth checking out! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

For those asking, one of the cute goblins has been available for a while, and the other is part of this kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/twingoddessminis/send-in-the-goblins?ref=5ypzi0. :-)

Seeing Legolas in cargo shorts was not something I knew I needed, but I'm glad I've seen it now.

Brent: I'm going to enter a painting competition and have 13 days to paint this mini.
Also Brent: Day 11 and I'm just about to start painting the mini.

Never change man, never change. 😅

I feel like i just watched a golden retriever in a Legolas costume enter a painting competition. Your positivity is contagious.

Don't blame the wig - your smile would give you away from 500 yards.

I want a series of you making more and more convoluted costumes for each painting competition. <3

It's not a fake identity - we all knew you were really Glorfindel for years...

Threaded inserts for transporting display miniatures is positively *clever*.

"like a laser!"
Because going in every direction, indirect, being convoluted and roundabout is definitely what lasers do lol. Love you Brent.

"Silly and unnecessary but also awesome" is such a great way to approach the hobby!

I'm going to be THAT guy.

That isn't a radial arm saw.

Now lets see Bert fight Bjort

The goblin with squirrel launcher = cute.
The goblin with slingshot frog ammo = awesome.
The Brent V Bjort = pure gold.
Thank you for the video.

"Look... I understand that this is all silly, and unnecessary.... But it's also awesome." True words to live by!

In the archival footage, I was absolutely floored that someone mistook you in your disguise as a human. I had to re-watch a few times to confirm it wasn't just AI. VERY impressive!

As always, thank you for the entertainment, Brent! ❤
