Doug, I never even spent time dreaming of getting exceptionally fit. Then, two years ago, after learning I was diabetic at the age of 65, I got off my butt and decided to correct my path. I lost 70 pounds with another 30 to go and conquered diabetes. I did it for health not for ego. Once I did it for the right reasons the weight just fell off. I walk 70k steps a week and lift twice a week. I feel better than when I was in my 30s. You're right Doug! Its a mindset.
Absolutely enjoyed this video. I’m going to listen to it all over again because I enjoyed it that much. You said a lot of important things that needed to be said, and I like your passion and enthusiasm combined with your good sense of humor. I laughed out loud several times at some of the things you said because they were funny but true. I love that you live what you preach and you seem like you truly care about seeing others fulfill their potential. You’re a genuine guy. Keep up the good work bro!
You came knocking on the wrong door brother lol. Thanks for the reminder that Westham will be playing on a cold rainy Tuesday night in Stoke this season. Sad times.
Could you do a video where you give tips and suggestions on what to do for those of us who overtrain sometimes and cause overuse injuries such as lateral tendinopathy (tennis elbow)?
Enjoyed this video about changing the mindset. Enjoyed your enthusiasm. Could you give us some specifics of what to do to change, is it more sleep, tracking, following a strict schedule, or is it getting a good coach? Age 74 have gone from 86.7kg to 71.0kg 17% over 175 days, but am loosing enthusiasm now.
