I'm 32 and I've lost 42 pounds so far. Had no real idea how fat I was. I've been lifting hard and heavy for about five years, not really concerned about anything but strength. I was strong but fat as hell. Now I have a real clear goal to get to 10% body fat and actually show the world the muscle I've built. I still don't think I look very good, but I'm sure it'll be worth it when I reach my goal
I started my journey in February this year, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week doing an upper/lower split and I finish my sessions with 20-25 minutes of Stairmaster, I've been eating clean food mostly, meat, eggs, fish, fruit and vegetables and have been limiting the junk food to 1-2 times a month. I've been in a calorie deficit of about 400-500 calories every day, I rarely go over and stay consistent even during weekends. I've hit 10000 steps every day for the past 135 days and most days I hit 15000 to 20000 steps if not more. So far, I have lost 35 lbs but I still got a lot of work to do. I am not where I want to be yet, but to me, it's no longer a journey. It's part of my identity. I have those days where I feel discouraged, down and feel like I'm not going anywhere, but those are the days where I go even harder in the gym. It's important to have a goal, but making this journey part of my routine has helped a lot and videos like these has helped remind me that I am on the right path and I will get to where I want to be. Great video, Thank you.
36 years old, family, busy job, stuck in the messy middle where my weight just went up and stuck for two weeks.. I really needed to see this. Thank you!!
32 and right in the middle of this phase atm. Sometimes the scale and mirror can really mess with you but keep the faith and take every small win, results are always just round the corner.
I'm really glad I watched this! I'm down around 65lbs in 2+ years (~280lbs to ~215lbs) being the strongest I've been since turning 40, and despite success I still dealt with doubts, plateaus, regressions etc. I felt as though I was doing something wrong because of the stalls and occasional weight gain. I really needed to hear this! Thank you for making this video!
I might be already past this, I’m not sure. I’m in week 19 of my cut. Started at 173lbs 24% body fat, now 149lbs 14-15%. I’ve had multiple weeks where the my average weight was up but whenever that happened, the next week would be a new low. I think I just had the woosh, dropped 4lbs last week which is the most I’ve lost in a week since week 1. It was the one week I wasn’t able to train at all and my nutrition wasn’t my regular structured whole food diet because I had to move. I did however stayed in a deficit and a couple days I was at 25000 steps, instead of my average 8000-10000. I’m ready for the next push as I just finished assembling my new power rack with barbell and plates. Only had dumbbells, pull-up bar and bench prior. I’m so locked in on my way to 10%, then will start lean bulking. Great info as usual. 👍🏽
Wow this is so timely, started in May and the first 30 days was smooth sailing with my diet and training plan, now in the middle of it, it just pleatu and it does mess with your head. Very helpful, thank you
Watching your videos has kept me going Doug, I've gone from over 25% flabby tires to 13% with visible abs now, only halfway done in my eyes but I'll keep pushing cheers mate!
This video hit right on time. I was in the middle of a workday walk too. At 50 I’m more active than at anytime in my life. The tough part is seeing little change in the mirror.
It helps that I started measuring myself weekly and outside the scale and mirror,I have proof fat is coming off.
