To Luis' credit, he's been very smart about when he's used his luck points and heroic inspiration. The nat 20s are still insane but he's increased his odds at the right time.
But it also feels like an element of the idea of the dice telling the story that should be told. Luis has had to walk the tightest of tight ropes with his character, especially in regards to the Einfasen. Even though its all random math, it almost feels like the dice rewarding excellent role play.
Here's something I'm not entirely sure about for the Einfasens.
They're definetly on the opposite end of our "heroes" but they feel like a neutral party or at the least likely a potential ally in the worst case scenario because I REALLY like them.
Especially Ingrid. I'll always be rooting for her and her love life
The Einfasens love our boy SO much and it makes me so terrified for him come Arc 2 😭 one of these days his cleverness won't be enough and the luck will run out and they're going to snap him in half like a goddamn twig
Azune may have been the most important factor in the redemption or the road to redemption for an entire house. I do believe they were initially thought of as somewhat contrary to the Magpies goals, if not outright villainous, they may still turn out to be so, but I hope they turn out to be allies in the long run.
For them to look at everyone else as lesser, yet still delude themselves into considering themselves moral, is enfuriating. Yanessa and Primus would never call themselves as "good people". Otto absolutely thinks he's a good man.
A time will come when Azune has to chose whether to defy the Einfassen and lay his card bare, or betray his friends and the people at large, and...I'm not sure which side he will choose. I can see Azune discovering noble heritage of some house of dragons, and defecting to the Sundered Houses' side.
