She didn’t spill the tea and red wine to self sabotage. She knew it was poisoned by the husband, so she wanted to save her, since she is a ghost and her lips were sealed.

During the car scene, when the man says: I thought you were different, and Dakota's character says: Different from who? It cuts to Taylor, because the man is referring to her

So happy someone is talking about this music video. Patient Zero is definitely the best video Taylor has directed so far.

I love all four songs. She explained why she put it out.

It's the fact that they don't touch their hands that is most powerful to me on that pool scene. It's like they can almost reach each other, but no. Because one of them is not alive anymore. It's like Dakota's character feels like something or someone is watching over her, she can almost feel her... but no. Like their experiences are so similar but they're not the exact same because she still has the chance to get out of this alive

The reason they are mirrored is because they lived the same life with the same man... the lyrics tell that story plainly. Taylor is a ghost trying to warn Dakota... [I've been you and where you are, don't drink anything he gives you!] Lmao

The lines “I thought you were different.” “Different from who?” gave me goosebumps. Sure, Taylor can be vindictive against women (and men) that she feels have wronged her (and many times rightfully so) but with that line you can’t say she isn’t a girl’s girl. The line both sets up the flashback scenes but also says “I’m different from the other girls? What’s your issue with other girls?”

I think Babylon has the vibe of teaching a lesson about, of appreciating what you have right now. Personally I think it fits with Ruin the friendship

remember there's a couple of albums that people didn't like them at first. i love these songs

I've read that, a lot, of Swifties saw themselves in this music video, because they lived toxic relationships. One even, left a toxic relationship after seeing this video

@imanolvalencia8894 21 hours ago

This video is literally, Taylor trying to save the new wife of her ex husband because he killed her, by poisoning her. And she's trying to save Dakota, the new wife of her toxic ex husband. That's why we saw Taylor through the ending scenes, because she already lived that, Taylor's a ghost throughout the whole video beneath Dakota's character

I think he was actually poisoning them and Taylor was murdered.

Taylor was the one who passed away. I think the cemetery, the grave says beloved daughter and wife. And once dakota realises, she pays a respectful and empathetic visit to the graves.

I’m with you! If this was a movie!! 😂 I would so watch it!! ❤

The car is an Aston Martin, so still a song reference (imgonnagetyouback)

I remember that, in the Folklore: the long pond studio sessions, she said that she had lived something similar to, what she wrote about in Tolerate it

@literature4me-k6r 19 hours ago

I think the video is stunning. I didn't catch the 'Tolerate It' table, and it is one of my favorite songs. Thanks for the deeper dive; she's a literary girlie, and I think people know it. They should always look deeper into her videos and definitely into her songs.

Yall Scooter braun's ex wife Yael Cohen was born in 1986 and the relationship of them ended in 2022. She is also a mining Heiress! if you read the newspaper scene in the Patient Zero, "unexplained death of a 36 year old" guess who was 36 in 2022 when they got divorsed? Yael Cohen. And the scooter braun's $65 million modern mega-mansion located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles kind of looks similar to the house in the video. Taylor also wrote on her insta caption that the house represents the coldness of the relationship, ya sure a lot of things represents something in the MV but the fact that she wrote that in the caption speaks something.

The water is them swimming together instead of drowning, time standing still, making contact on a psychic plane, purging and cleansing their attachment to him in life and death.
