Do you think reznov is alive or dead?

Defector mission in BO1, you do not hear numbers when Reznov show up.

It was dissapointing in bo6 that there was a mission set in vorkuta years later and yet they did not even address reznovs whereabouts. It felt like they looked past what even happened there back in 1963 at all.

As a long time reznov fan since the first time I played waw I thought reznov was an unstoppable force, so when I played bo1 and didn't see him die. I just assumed he was alive.

What if reznov was a kgb agent the entire time. In the mission the defector reznov mentions that “even the kremlin does not now what they are planning” referring to kravchencko steiner and dragovich. Its always also seemed very weird to me that some random prisoner was just able to brainwash mason without anyone at vorkuta noticing. I always personally believed that reznov truly stayed loyal to the soviets and thats why he programmed mason to kill those people as a way to eliminate people in power who had their own plans for the soviet union that didn’t align with the countrys main goal

Bless your soul for sticking with this franchise, it's so far gone but it's nice to see good content like this still

I think some people need to relearn the lore of Reznov.

Resnov still see Americans as allies

Reznov has always been dead. He was a ww2 captain, and was stuck in a gulag before computers were even a thing. Reznov had no clue Mason would escape and go on to kill Dragovich.

Mason spent his days in Vorkuta hearing Reznov constantly repeat the same lines about how Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner needed to die, over and over again. This indirectly influenced Mason's programming. Reznov also felt extreme guilt at being unable to stop Dimitri from dying. Reznov's entire plan was working with Mason to create an escape from Vorkuta. At the end, Reznov chose not to leave because him helping Mason escape was his redemption. He wished to die fulfilled, and escaping the camp was his revenge on Dragovich.

Years later, the emails were not from Reznov. There is absolutely zero way a random old man from ww2 would be able to hack a CIA server in the early 60s. He would not have the skills nor resources to achieve this.

However, I believe Mason wrote the emails to Hudson that are implied to be Reznov. Whenever Reznov appeared to Mason, Mason "took on" the role of being Reznov. Every time Reznov speaks, its Mason mumbling to himself in reality. This is shown numerous times throughout black ops 1, and is outright shown when Steiner is killed.

Mason developed split personality disorder. His alter ego being Reznov.

The Reznov we see during revelations was literally the alter ego telling him "we are one and the same."

Mason and Reznov's entire arc is how an old, tired ww2 Captain gave his life to ensure his friend Mason escaped to redeem himself for his failures in saving Dimitri. Mason's arc is how his brain created a version of Reznov in his own head influenced off his brainwashing.

Reznov did indeed die in Vorkuta.

He had nowhere to go, nobody to help him escaping Vorkuta, and he was just tired by that point. He gave all he had for freedom, and achieved saving Mason and died in his own mind, redeemed.

When Reznov saved Mason in Afghanistan, there may not have been any numbers, but he still had his trigger finger. I thought it was shot off in Stalingrad. "My injured hand means I can no longer aim. But you will do it for me. Now, take my rifle. And watch the road."

Would absolutely love to have a cod campaign on his backstory and playing as him, and the events leading up to world at war and Bo1

Rebirth island ???

Bugs me I can't use my Reznov skin in BO7.

Great vid. 🤓👍🏾

Let's not forget that drakovich survived something that should have killed him twice

My personal hope is that they will make a World War I game. They will have a alternate timeline or Victor is a white army soldier who is entire goal is to save the Czar but of course he gets captured and sent to the gulag. I think that would be a pretty cool alternate timeline.

I've always believed Reznov migh have been perseus from the Cold War campaign or that he waa actually a KGB agent that was ordered to eliminate Dragovich and he did it covertly using Alex Mason

Interesting Video Bro!

The cryptic message about ReZnov implies, that Devs had a plan for His future appearances in future games, but it looks like somewhere down the line they gave up on the idea.

3:20 This was indeed an hallucination if you pay attention he had all ten fingers

10:11 Shrodinger's Reznov 😂
