I'm glad all this chaos happened because I learned about this channel

I think I understand Rob's problem. His biggest problem is that he sees everything through political labels. I was once a person who did that as well and as I became more educated, I all but stopped using political labels all together. Most of my views would be considered very far left, but I don't call myself a Leftist at least not anymore. Rob's biggest issue is a lack of deeper knowledge and understanding of how deep and invasive White Supremacy truly is and the extent to which the Black community in America is still very much oppressed by it. Him wanting to see things through a "Centrist" lense is in a way restricting him from expanding his knowledge about the deeper nuances of the Black experience out of fear of being considered too "Far left" or "too Woke." His refusal to seek out why giving his voice to uplift Blackness is so important is why he defaults to simply calling it "Black Politics." The fear of being seen as overtly political towards one side is what seems to be causing him to be comfortable just being the "Both sides" guy even when it becomes objectively harmful to do so especially towards his own community. And that is what he doesn't seem to fully understand. There is absolutely nuances in all aspects of life, but when it comes to black people who have to live and survive in a white supremacist society, being the "Both Sides" guy can often do way more harm than good because for us, we don't get the luxury of a Both Sides style even playing field. 🤦🏿‍♂️🫩

Didn’t he also make a comment along the lines that “everyone knows Angel Reese is a jerk”? That speaks to the people he communicates with and the media coverage he follows. Regardless how you feel about her, everyone doesn’t think that.

I firmly believe if Benny didn't die we wouldn't be here discussing this.

I grew up with comics as a kid and really dug Rob's older content. Irony is that this whole drama putting me back on to Milestone. Dakota Incident about to be sick.

I’ll say this with the rob stuff going on!! This is putting me on all the black creators in the comics space. I was surface level comic enjoyer but now planning on reading on icon and other black comics.

Dismissing FUBU "For us by us" is telling.

It's still kind of wild to me that Static isn't as big as Miles is for Marvel. Also a big fan of the advice "if you don't know what you are talking about stfu". Good episode!

If Rob read half of his comment section on that video that are slamming him for being "too woke" (saying he's Anti-ICE & Anti-Trump) and still keeps his stances, then that's on him for not seeing what yall see.

“On this earth, every act is a political act.”
They said that in Batman vs Superman.

I bought the 4 milestone compendiums that were available few months ago. I'm on vol 3 now and every thing McDuffie and the team wrote about then is applicable today.

Fubu is tight. But him trying to demean FUBU and Milestone is lame

Captain Diesel needs to promote himself more because I just found out this podcast existed.

Keep up the great work!

24:14 didnt know that

I never understood how  Rob (comics explained) D.R. Johnathan Hickman so hard, but not Dwyane McDuffie?

In all this happening, I just learned that preorders are important and have the weight they do.

The revelations of the comics explained stuff sucks, but I'm glad it's letting me find genuine comic book channels like yours!

I unsubbed from him for the same reason I unsubbed from Moistcritical. This is not the era for fench sitting. We don't have time for that.

I hate blue marvel, he is such a liberal moderate character. Rob saying that character is the one he resonate with doesnt help the rocket racoon allegations. Like how is a character who has all this power not fight for the justice of his people.

cap looks like blerd a little lol
