I get that husband's been manipulated all his life by her, but husband essentially threw OP under the bus at every turn with his inaction, as long as it meant appeasing his mommy. This will be the rest of OP's life if she stays, and it'll be even worse with kids. The husband proves time and time again, that he won't truly stand up for her and will continue to use her as a shield for his mom's crazy behavior.

If you're having a panic attack about telling someone no you and that person need to seperate. For ages.

Forger therapy, the guy needs to ask his Dad how he got her to run away at the sight of him and take notes...

I'm certain vampires not liking garlic is propaganda made by vampires so people season themselves...

Et tu Auntie?
Edit: I'm honestly more upset at the aunt's betrayal than the MIL.

This woman is a walking waking nightmare. I think she got kicked out of Hell for being too annoying.

You could not PAY me to get into a marriage like this

This post was collected by ChoiceCaterpillarRose7783, and their tagline is: “It dawned on Satan that he was keeping the pogo stick.”

Edit: One month later, and I still can’t believe this silly little joke is still getting likes lol

im at 35:49 and all ill say is that im suprised the relationship lasted this long. he is functionally gaslighting OP in regards to how important this all is, intentionally or not.

OMG I remember this one...I was so happy hearing how OP's husband was slowly shining his spine against his mother's antics, only for it to be all smoke and mirrors with him secretly emailing her while they were supposed to be NC. What a disappointing ending, too bad the husband couldn't find his nerve in the end. 😮‍💨

In amongst all of this, it amuses me that MIL wants the reception so she can get more attention, and doesn't care about being there for the ceremony where they get married. She doesn't care about her son at all.

4:35 for any brides out there: HIGHLY recommend doing it based on color instead of style. There are places that offer a bunch of dresses based on specific shade so every bridesmaid is uniform. It's soooooo difficult to find a style that looks good on every body type, and doing it that way removes drama and makes it easier for every girl to find a dress they like.

28:37 this moment wasn’t particularly flattering to your husband?!? GIRL THIS WHOLE STORY WAS ABOUT HIM PRIORITIZING HIS MOMMY OVER YOU!!!

@rennyoroll 1 month ago (edited)

a little over halfway through and the husband is still pissing me off 😭 like i feel bad this is how he’s been conditioned but damn dude you gotta step up
edit never mind i’m proud of him for putting the workin with therapy!
edit 2 “estranged husband” is crazy, fuck that guy. oz is right, if you find yourself having to make up this elaborate plan and lie to keep from dealing with a crazy MIL’s tears, you’ve already lost the plot. i hope OP finds someone who truly values her unlike this fucken guy.

This is what happens when a person who is the center of attention all the time becomes a parent

@thebladeofchaos 1 month ago

OH! This is actually worth looking into. Husband actually did become the leak and told his mother everything because 'she's his mother'

OP was in a lose lose sadly. Hubby was too much of a coward, too lost in the fog to cut her off. but if she had been cut off, theirs an entire family who'd work for the mother to get back in.

but this is a moment of 'appeasement doesn't work'. they kept trying to play to her ego by 'giving in' with lies and it just made her bolder and bolder.

@gav7497 1 month ago

I’m 20 minutes in and I’m getting the vibe that her main goal is to get op to divorce her husband, so she can have her son to herself.

@ababygoblin2061 1 month ago

Guys I moved houses! Always remember to check if your electric metre has someone else’s debt on when you move in!

@JillLulamoon 1 month ago

I remember this story. With how much of a jellyfish her husband is, OP really needed to think twice about marrying this grown man who is incapable of standing up to his mommy.

@Kihara.Sedai47 1 month ago

Under NO circumstances would I be willing to marry a coward like this. I'd be much happier on my own than dealing with this shit. Absolutely BONKERS to me that op decided to elope after witnessing behavior of MIL AND husband instead of running for the hills.
