The fact that the roommates in the first story complained about op not buying more donuts for the rest of them shows they know what they were doing the first time. Super ungrateful.

Story 3: if you are planning an important event and there is something like a dress code, then it is up to the host to inform the guest not the other way around

1st story:
i'd be pissed off too after spending $40, not have a donut, wash other's dishes, and no "thank you" gratitude

"Tea is leaf water" so what, by that logic coffee is bean water. What a ludicrous take.

Where's my pitchfork... the first story is indeed justification enough for divine punishment.

Story 3.  I have yet to see a wedding with a dress code.  I just dress in a suit.  OP is not the butthole.

If my wife is part of the wedding, I’ll trust that she’ll let me know about things like the dress code, that’s certainly how I would act if the roles were reversed, I’d tell my wife everything she needed to know. And what we shouldn't forget is that at 99.9% of weddings the dress code its exactly what the OP wore, there was no reason for him to think it would be anything different.

Story 3 about the wedding op is DEFINITELY NTA; his wife should have told him since she knew

“…we have a justifiable murder situation. Am I the butthole for refusing to buy more donuts?”

2:00 OH WAIT NVM THAT IS JUSTIFIABLE

4:24 FOUR LOCATIONS?! WHY?! I already feel bad that the ONE location that we have for my wedding reception is an hour away from the chapel. I would just leave after the first location.

Story 2:  they should have had a shuttle to take everyone from one venue to the next

The wedding story. Nah, the wife was 100% TAH. She couldn't just LOOK at her husband before they even left and say "oh yeah! No, you're supposed to wear a tux!" -- But like he said, it would have taken her 5 seconds to tell him the dress code for men for the event. He even said he wouldn't have had a problem renting one! OP was not the AH at all.

Steal my donuts?!  Itching powder in their beds is the only proper response.  As Bugs Bunny once said, "of course you know, this means war!"

Last story, I'm willing to bet that housing told OP's new and stb ex roommate about OP's dog, but she was banking on bullying OP out of her room to keep it to herself like the entitled brat that she is.

Last story you have to disclose allergies for housing so they don’t end up putting a dog in a room with someone who is allergic. I bet that lady is not allergic

Story 3: This seriously sounds like the wife deliberately set up OP to be embarrassed.

Allergy: No, new room mate can find a new place to live.

The wedding dress code story: really R/slash? You just HAD to find a way to blame the guy, didn’t you? Unless I’m explicitly told there’s a dress code, I’m wearing what I would think is appropriate ( a regular suit/ dress shirt, dress slacks, dress shoes)

Story 3: not telling is also an answer.
If your wife is working directly on the wedding prep not telling there is a dresscode, to me that says "there is no dress code" unless explicitly mentioned.

Yes OP could have asked but not asking is less fault than not telling the information when it is there where the context is story 3.

so basically its fine for OP to not get the donuts they bought, but it isnt fine for the other people to not get donuts they didn't buy? most valid crash out ever
