You talk about books so eloquently & with such intelligence! Great reviews :)

'A book is like you and me - glued to a spine and doing its best.' - The Book Lovers, Steve Aylett

You have exceptional taste in literature.

Your narration and analysis of the books you read is mesmerising.  Keep up the excellent work.  Thank you.

As a Russian bookworm who is obsessed with Pushkin and Lermontov from a young age, I find it so sad that these great writers are kind of overlooked by most foreigners just because they were primarily poets. So, you can imagine my joy when someone can appreciate even a little portion of their legacy.  Thank you for that!

Love your enthusiasm for reading. It shines through your engaging recommendations!

As a hardcore fantasy and sci-fi book reader, it was an interesting experience to stumble upon your channel and hear you talk about different types of book genres. Some titles sparked my interest, and I will definitely give them a try. Thank you!

The kind of girl that you meet in school and never forget ever

I’ve always been so self conscious about how much I loved the buried giant because everyone hates that book lmao so happy to finally see someone singing its praises it’s my fave Ishiguro

The Buried Giant HIT me so hard. I am with you on this. Great novel. Ishiguro somehow recreates himself with every novel. Oh also I'm buying Nocturnes right now, thanks for that.

Excellent selection, and concise and interesting reviews without revealing the plots. I first read Brideshead when 18 and it’s been with me ever since. After that first read, I watched the 1980s television series (Jeremy Irons, Anthony Andrews and other greats). Often, film versions don’t live up to the book but this is wonderful and I highly recommend it as a companion to the book.
I have bought a couple of books on your recommendation (letters of Van Gogh, and Diary of a Nobody).

Brideshead Revisited is an almost perfect book.

Oh yes, Brideshead Revisited is my all time favorite.

Nonexistent Knight sighting!  One of my favorites.

You persuaded me -- I am currently reading The Buried Giant, and am enjoying it very much. Thank you!

If you haven’t already I really recommend reading ’If on a winter’s night, a traveller’ also by Italo Calvino. It is an amazing exercise in the power of descriptive writing and has a lovely ‘oh wow’ moment towards the end.

I have finally begun Moby Dick as we had a thunderstorm recently which fits the opening paragraph.

As always wishing you a lovely week 💕

You are what i like to call explosions of sheer joy, have encountered many such happy souls before in my life, none with this measure of overwhelming emotional intensity as yours, how is state unlocked bro like wtf.....also read all of Borges its the greatest thing out there trust me I'm underselling this thing

Fantastic account of the Russian classic. Well-done

Could've sworn we just did the February wrap up ⌛Baldwin can be something of a gateway drug to other African-American authors who followed in his footsteps like Morrison or Whitehead, and even nonfic authors like Coates or Wilkerson; my country's politics may be a dumpster fire but we use it to power a magnificent and prolific engine of art. Loving the closer Vanisha-centric camera angle, keep going 📖❤

Thank you thank you!!
