旅グルメ

Our "South Korea Seoul to Suwon Trip" has begun.

Regarding the "Korean eel" we ate first, please see "Eel Road."

For our second Korean gourmet experience, we'll be featuring raw meat: "Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), liver sashimi, and live octopus." It's been a while, so we're looking forward to it!

[Bucheon Yukhoe]

Access: Inside Gwangjang Market, Seoul

Notes: Featured in the Michelin Bib Gourmand almost every year

Restaurant Appearance: The interior isn't very spacious.

It takes time, so get a waiting ticket first.

Waiting Time: Around 1-2 hours during lunchtime.

Order: [Yukhoe and Live Long-legged Octopus] 38,000 KW

[Liver Sashimi] 12,000 KW

Beer and Soju

[Yukhoe and Live Long-legged Octopus]
Normally, we would order yukhoe bibimbap or white rice to make it a set meal, but we simply enjoyed "daytime drinking."

The raw yukhoe with its slightly sweet flavor was truly delicious after a long time.

It really melts in your mouth.

The lean meat is easy to eat without getting tired of it.

The long-legged octopus's vitality is amazing.

It sticks to your throat, and it feels like it's clearing impurities from your stomach. The enjoyable
smoothness and the refreshing feeling of washing it down with beer are irresistible.

[Liver Sashimi]
Normally, it's served half liver and half tripe.

When we asked, they served it entirely of liver.

It pays to ask!

Both my wife and I love this dish, and it's been a while since we've had it.
The texture, enjoyed with sesame oil and salt, is simply irresistible.
The drinks are also irresistible.
Beer to soju relay – so delicious and enjoyable.
Soju goes well with raw meat, too.
I've reaffirmed that.

[Overall Impression]
There's a long wait.
That said, once you arrive at the market, you check your waiting number, and after wandering around the market for a while, they'll call you.
It seemed like there were more local customers than tourists.
Also, because the restaurant isn't very big, the tables are small and the seating is cramped, which I don't like.
The restaurant is also quite noisy with many young people.
There's nothing you can do about it, so the best thing to do is to get drunk and not let it bother you.
Everyone wants to enjoy their food, after all.
I'll go again!
Next time, I might order something like yukhoe bibimbap for a quick meal.
It's probably a bit quieter on weekdays.
