After all the training, bike prep and last-minute CX panic… it’s finally time to race!
Today I’m lining up at **Clanfield CX 2026**, the opening round of the **Wessex Cyclocross League**, for my first cyclocross race of the 2026 season.
And what better way to start the season than with a proper baptism of fire?! 🔥
The course was **fast, dry and seriously hard**, making for a brutal first race back. After spending the last few weeks trying to get my CX skills back, it’s time to find out how they actually hold up when the racing starts and the heart rate goes through the roof!
In this video, I take you through my race day, from getting ready and warming up to the race itself, including all the usual *cyclocross chaos, suffering, mistakes and hopefully a few good moments along the way!*
