Herbert von Karajan is arguably the most influential conductor in the history of classical music.

You left a priceless treasure for humanity. RIP Great Karajan.

The synergism between the conductor and the orchestra is vibrant!

Karajan, the greatest musical treasure.
Today's performances are a pale, blurred image of what the maestro achieved with the orchestra and what the composer sought to conjure up.
Everything then made sense, striving for the essence of art and beauty.

He really had a gift for bringing out the best in each musician!

Le meilleur documentaire sur Karajan que j'ai vu jusqu'ici. Merci.

A wonderful film about my  adored conductor!!!!!!!!!!

Einer der wunderbarsten Dirigenten, die jemals gelebt haben. Vielen Dank und lbe Grüße aus Montréal, Qc, Canada

The finest conductor of all times. His interpretation of  music, his warm relationship with the orchestra and choristers was demonstrated in his conducting, all of which touched the hearts, minds and emotions of audiences😂 and those who listened to the music from recordings alike.

I love and adore him like Lennie. Karajan and Bernstein were like the south- and north-pole of at least half of my life. An absolute timeless inspiration... both had their lights and shadows :) A rich life simply. Thank you Sirs!

There are no other classical music figure who had influence on the people around the world more than Karajan. I'm talking about Karajan LEGACY. It doesn't matter where you're from and what your cultural and social background is. when you want to buy or download classical music from the internet with or without respect to copyright, Most probably you will download one of the Karajan's recordings, even 35 years after his death and that is an achievement! with the highest quality that I myself (as a music lover) can say he was one of the bests (if not the best). He was spreading the classical music around the world with his recordings, contribution to the next generation of conductors and even building new concert halls. all the great conductors after him were helped by him. After Berlin Philharmonie, all the concert halls in the world were built with the same architecture and thats the meaning of influence.

The Mahler footage is priceless! And Ozawa is listening to the rehearsal.

RIP Maestro Karajan (#dotd in 1989) 🌺🌺🌺

What a great man and an amazing life!  His contributions to classical music and the humanities are immeasurable!  Thank you for posting this documentary!

The most respectful conductor ever! All pieces he has conducted are among the most beatiful performed pieces. I believe  his tough discipline was his key of success. Every time I Iisten to his conducted pieces, regardless whose piece it is, it is fresh, amusing and genuine to me. Actually he is my benchmark to compare the other conductors.  R.I.P my hero!

Karajan a man’s man. A perfect life.

My heroe Karajan! Thanks for upload this documentary.
