I'm from the mid 20th century - & I was TOTALLY enthralled by the Apollo landed
missions (AND Apollo 13), '69 to '72, VIEWING them over ALL COMMERCIAL MEDIA . . .

If you find interview with Bill Anders To the Moon: Bill Anders around 20 minutes in he talks about the lunar lander simulator gives lot more detail about the crash with Neil Armstrong.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED WHEN NASA SENT NINE APOLLO MISSIONS OUT TO THE MOON
Six of those missions sent a two man crew down to the Lunar surface. Those were Apollos 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 Now how about that ! 😎

I've never met a lady named Teasel, but she sure is georgous!

Oh yeah...The moon landing thing too!

The generation that rose up and fielded 16 million men, across hundreds of battlefields from the arctic to the equator to the South Pacific to simultaneously defeat 3 empires, in the air, on the sea, below the sea and on land, and weaponized the atom, all in 3 year and 8 months says they went to the moon. The generation who pulls open their pants, looks down, scratches their heads, and say: "Duh, I dunno?" says they didn't. Who are you going to believe?

When the moon landing happened, I was nine. We lived outside of State college. The couch was green. The TV was black and white which is all right because the broadcast from the astronauts was black and white. At that time, color TVs were still expensive. I remember American pride being the highest it has ever been. No American pride since then comes even close to what it was then. We beat the evil Soviet Union. At the time, they were the only other country that was competing.

Construction arc'd sixth right cleekers

It was not just one of history greatest events but THE greatest event in all of history. It was mankind's biggest gamble and they nailed it! To this day I'm still awed over the whole program. And the astronauts-hey I'm SMH!

When someone tells you being skeptical is stupid, that person has zero intellectual integrity and is intellectually compromised.

It's mankind not humankind.

Well, we literally are an Artemis three or four

21:15 he had seconds to decide to either try and save it or abort. Wow, thats absolutely amazing.

SOME LOGIC FOR MOON HOAX ENTHUSIASTS
You see, this is what I don’t understand. Everything has been picked apart in so many ways that we have arrived at a point where it appears that NASA got nothing right…NOTHING… not one thing. The effort that went into ‘faking’ was just a waste of time. Basically, you had all these engineers, technicians, metalworkers, electronics people who in reality knew nothing about their trade.
NASA as an organisation, had spent 11 years just twiddling their thumbs, hiring the worst liars, spent no time preparing people to handle awkward questions. NASA didn’t spend any time hashing out the details, making sure they made sense?   And then we have the threats of death, the CIA, the Freemasons, 24/7 surveillance of the astronauts, Thomas Baron, Gus Grissom, and the lemon? Oh, and there's also that intrusive Coke Bottle.
The list goes on. And yet despite all this they manage to fool millions of people, and according to you conspiracy enthusiasts, they were so negligent at their job, that they couldn’t spot any anomalies. You see where all this is going right ? (Original comment by Nicsandee)

Biggest question. Can we do it again with new equipment?

This thread sure has died thanks to Naked Science (Skyfacer, Skyfacer Apollo, Selwyn Rewes), yet Youtube does nothing. How strange.

The Apollo program is the pinnacle of human ingenuity and collaboration.

Launching the ascent stage of the LM HAD been performed before.......Apollos 9 and 10. There shouldn't have been any dramatic concern that it wouldn't work sitting on themoon.

Response to skyfacer in case he didn't get my last post: So now it is a group of people rather than my lonely self? I also notice you seem to respond to everything I say within about an hour's span of time no matter what time it is. Are you getting enough sleep?

By the way, there is a fundamental rule of engagement you are ignoring and you do not understand it is the most important consideration you need if you want to "HONOR" those astronauts you care so much for.

It is called "Legitimacy by Demonstration," also "Walk the Talk," "Moral Authority," and other things. You like authority, you love America's authority. So why not give it a try? This is how it works, you stop gaslighting, trolling, and acting in the literal worse form of yourself you can possibly be and instead do the exact opposite. Be the role model for future generations much as those astronauts were role models for you. Let their example shine inside of you if they matter to you as much as you pretend that they do. Or you can let that light die and fade and become as ugly and gray as how you perceive the information I have shared with you. Your choice. Which would you rather be?

Also you used Identity-Protective Cognition incorrectly. The Need for Uniqueness or Collective Narcissism would be the correct psychological term you are looking for. You are someone who admires engineering and physical science. Don't pretend to be a psychiatrist when it doesn't suit you. Am I being hypocritical? Perhaps, but I at least know what I am talking about and unlike you, I can use the correct terms.

Identity-protective cognition is a universal human trait, not a mental illness or an "array of psychological issues." Every single human brain does this to some extent to keep us connected to our social circles. So complaining about something that is universal in each of us and highlighting it as a fundamental problem similar to I guess bipolar or whatever is not just disingenuous, it is pathologizing normal human behavior, which completely misunderstands if not outright butchers the science.

Congrats on moving to another video comment section, Skyfacer/Naked Science, now you don't have to feel so alone anymore.
