Tyler Perry's MADEA'S BIG HAPPY FAMILY Reaction! | Loretta Devine, Bow Wow, Cassi Davis, David Mann

Achara & Brandon react to Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family, the heartfelt comedy-drama about Madea bringing her family together after learning that a loved one is hiding life-changing news. As long-buried secrets, family conflicts, and emotional revelations come to light, the film balances Tyler Perry’s signature humor with themes of forgiveness, faith, and the importance of cherishing family.

Written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry (Madea Goes to Jail, House of Payne, Sistas, The Oval), the film stars Tyler Perry (A Madea Homecoming, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, House of Payne, Sistas), Loretta Devine (Waiting to Exhale, Crash, Grey’s Anatomy, P-Valley), Bow Wow (Like Mike, Roll Bounce, CSI: Cyber, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), Shannon Kane (Brooklyn’s Finest, S.W.A.T., The Originals), Cassi Davis (House of Payne, The Paynes, School Daze), David Mann (Meet the Browns, Mann & Wife, House of Payne), and Tamela Mann (Meet the Browns, Mann & Wife, Kingdom Business), delivering one of the Madea franchise’s most emotional stories.

Im glad you guys caught that the mother was also a villain in her own right even tho she was as sweet as pie! In fact that was her problem, she was so sweet and mild mannered that she couldn't stand up for her daughter when she needed her most. The molester was protected while the daughter was left to pick up the pieces without any support or counsel.

“You told her about my IQ test scores?!” That line had me dying😅😆

In the interview, Bow Wow talked about he was trying not to laugh when Teyanna did that role and Tyler Perry was in the background telling her to pat her weave. She definitely did not disappoint

Hot take: Byron and Kimberly had every reason to be upset in this movie, imagine forcefully getting pregnant at a young age by a FAMILY MEMBER, having to keep and deliver the baby when you’re that young, being forced to be raised with said baby and never getting help from the trauma you endured. As for Byron imagine getting LIED on and begging your mom to believe you because y’all don’t keep secrets from each other, only for her to doubt you until you get arrested and then the next day it comes out that she’s not your mother and has been keeping that secret from you you whole life.

16:32 I never noticed it before, but now I see the signs. Throughout this whole movie, she tried to be respectful (in her own way), but she didn't like being touched, treated like a little girl, or told to do anything. She was also impatient and agressive when telling her side or feeling unheard, probably because people didn't believe her side as a child. And she wants to be successful because she had to grow up faster to replace what she lost. Hopefully I'm viewing this correctly

Idk man Shirley was wrong for forcing her daughter to not only carry her rapist’s child, but then have to grow up in the same house with that child as her sibling while carrying that secret for decades. She may have genuinely believed she was doing what was best for her daughter and protecting the family, but she sacrificed Kimberly’s emotional well-being to preserve the family’s image and avoid confronting what actually happened. Then everyone wonders why Kimberly grew up angry, resentful, and untrusting of ppl including her husband. Or why the sisters have so much resentment toward each other cause Tammy never knew the full truth. They were all living with the consequences of a trauma that was never properly addressed. That’s psychological torture for a child to deal with and that lives with you as an adult she needed a therapist.

53:45 This part always makes me tear up, because it's the first time on screen that we see Calvin ask her permission, prompting her first positive emotional response

If the kids need punishment, get a signal blocker and secretly put it in their bedroom. No WiFi, no cell coverage in the one place they like to spend most of their time. 😂

I lost my grandmother in 2014 so this movie really gets me in feelings 💔 because its a constant reminder that one day I will have to live in a world without my mom thats not an irrational fear it's a reality 😢
