Happy Christmas Everyone! You all guessed last week’s surprise. Meet Myrtle, the new addition to my family. She has a big pair of paws to fill... Matilda was my soul mate and a beautiful bulldog. As many of you pointed out... life without a dog is no life at all… so here we go... a brand new adventure. Just the two of us and all of your encouragement. Thank you x

The writer of the James Herriot books advised getting another dog after the heartbreak of one dying. She is utterly gorgeous Jo. So pleased for you x

Myrtle is adorable. That sweet face, little soft body that just melts into your lap. She’s obviously making you very happy. You’ve got a lot of dog people on this channel so no need to apologize for talking about her so much.

It’s a complement to Matilda that you got Myrtle so soon . She is utterly adorable ❤️

Prepare for every comment to say, “oh PLEASE feature Myrtle!! We love her!!” She’s precious, Jo. I’m sure Matilda picked her out special for you from heaven, no doubt. And I’m sure she still is there with you too, in Spirit, making sure the little girl behaves! Merry Christmas and a Blessed and Happy New Year to you!! ~ Annie

Oh Jo, Myrtle is absolutely gorgeous. I lost Molly when she was 10 and just over a month later I got Tilly, both Jack Russells. Everyone does what they feel is right for them.Getting a new puppy isnt replacing the dog who passed as they never will but it helped me and Im sure Jo its helping you. I also thought Tilly felt Mollys presence in the house for sure. xx

I don’t often comment. But I found your channel from Kimberly in the US. I have been ill and started to binge watch your channel from the very first one. I am a dog lover as I have three at the moment. 2 are mine and one is a foster. They fill my life with constant love. I can’t remember a time since early childhood that I haven’t had a dog. They have been my companions through divorce and cancer and they always love me and never judge. I understand. Thank you for sharing.
