In 1971, Daniel Ellsberg was a Pentagon insider and former Vietnam War strategist when he made a decision that would transform American politics. Convinced that successive administrations had misled the public about the war, he leaked 7,000 pages of classified documents known as the Pentagon Papers to The New York Times.
His actions triggered a confrontation involving the press, President Richard Nixon and the Supreme Court. Ellsberg’s extraordinary change of heart turned him from government insider into one of America’s most famous whistleblowers, while the political fallout helped set the stage for Watergate and Nixon’s resignation.

Imagine 1974: a President forced to RESIGN for criminal activity!
Nowadays, SCOTUS judges trip over themselves in their rush to grant the President virtually unlimited immunity for his crimes, corruption, election theft, lies, sedition & demagoguery.
In 250 years the US has gone from freeing itself from an absolutist monarch to willingly inviting the orange idiot to don a crown, paint the Oval Office gold, & rule as the kind of unaccountable tyrant king those early Americans rose up against.
The last days of the empire are indeed ugly.
Thank God for men like Daniel Ellsworth, and Edward Snowden while our government does their best to turn these people into villains, they themselves are in the battle of a moral conquest.
I always knew Nixon was a piece of shit, but this documentary gave reasoning behind it and helped me have a better understanding just how corrupt he truly was. They have turned the presidency into a sporting event where we vote on our favorite team, instead of what’s best for this country. We have all got to be smarter than that.
It makes me feel hopeless.
Sickening and shameful are
those who sacrifice souls,
delivering such indefensible
suffering to so many. Sigh.
✌️Thank you,
Dan Ellsberg.

It's more evident today because of the internet. They've always been evil and corrupt.
