Mr Herbie Hancock ā¦and Marcus Miller are ICONs and Ledgends ā¦what an awesome Collaboration we hear every instrument loud and clear. All the Musicians were just wicked The Sax Player is just to cool and Funky ā¦Now this is a Concertā¦.
The Headhunters Album in 1974 changed my whole direction as a musician, and I am forever grateful to Herbie for a lifetime of musical direction and enjoyment.
I love Herbie's concerts because they're all out there having an absolute blast. The vibe is *fun*, and there aren't a lot of other cats out there who channel that energy so phenomenally
I am a BASS player,, I saw Herbie with Head Hunters around the mid 1970's at the Odeon Theatre in Birmingham England; I Immediately went out and bought a 20 foot cord after seeing Paul Jackson all over the stage. What a concert that was!!!!
I feel like Marcus payed so much respect to the original Bass Lines from Paul Jackson. I love it! Those grooves were so killer and Mr Miller played them with finesse
This form of jazz reminds me of Tchaikovsky music. You follow one rhythm until you find yourself lost in 3 other artist at the same time. Amazing what the mind can hear...
