Let us know if you'd like to see more Bloodborne, or if there's another game series you'd also like to see us cover!
We're very close to 1000 Subs, so thank you everyone for helping us make it this far so quickly! I've been up for over 24 hours so I'm getting some sleep 😴

Love this. Awesome to hear a real voice these days. I've gotten to the point where I won't listen to videos with AI voices.

Your voice impersonations in these videos when quoting the characters are genuinely impressive lol

I always thought the Moon Presence was essentially a beast among old ones. Its shape resembles one of the werewolf enemies, it comes from the full Moon, etc

Oh right you convinced me to play through Bloodborne again for the 10th time.

Paleblood was the name of the "old blood" when it was first found at the fishing Hamlet. Kos and her umbilical cord is pale as if it were drained of hemoglobin. That's why when you eat it, you transcend the hunt

There is a concept in the art world called 'Negative Space'. It's a technique where you draw 'around' the subject of your artwork without actually filling it in, allowing the viewer to see the shape of the subject but not the subject itself.

That's how I feel about the remaining mysteries in Bloodborne. We have enough information to make out the 'shape' of the answer, but the answer itself isn't yet visible. It's obscured from view, just out of reach, haunting the narrative without ever showing its face.

Ironically, that absolutely fits with the themes of the game, and so, despite my frustrations, I don't actually begrudge the game for not giving us more answers. Fine, kept your secrets!

This is probably the best Bloodborne lore narrative video I've ever seen. And I've been obsessed with soulsborne videos and games for 9 years. Thank you for this video!

29:15 I've recently come across the idea that Orphan is mimicking something it's seen, something that it fears: hunters. Specifically Gehrman, which explains it's choice of a trick weapon

I like to imagine the hunter ascending into the most iconic Lovecraftian great one, Cthulhu. Not literally "Cthulhu", but the infant great one you become looks very reminescent of a cephalopod (squid, octopus). It makes me think he'll grow up the be the classic type, squid headed, literal mind flaying aberration that exist all around in fantasy, but trace back through D&D all the way to Lovecraft. Your hunter ascending to a Cthulhu in the secret ending would be a great cherry on top of this modern classic of cosmic horror. Of course FromSoft would only show this in the most oblique way, by making you a little squid baby and leaving it at that.

About the DLC's question of what they took from Kos, well, there is an "hidden" character, the Baneful Chanter, one of the slug-women praying outside Kos's arena. She chants in very soft voice, you can find the voicelines on youtube, but here's the transcription:

"Curse the Fiends, their Children too... And their Children, forever true... A call to the Bloodless wherever they be.Mother is dead, her baby taken. Mother is dead, her baby taken. Scales are suffering, the grief of Kos. Do you hear it, a sealess void? The Lair of Beasts, where the Blood-crazed roam. Curse the fiends true, curse their Children and their Children's Children forever more. A bottomless curse, a bottomless sea. Source of all greatness, all things that be. A call to the bloodless, wherever they be. Fix your ears to hear our calls; Kos, we have beckoned and Kos is dead. Forgive us and curse upon the fiends. Call to the Bloodless wherever they be, call to the Bloodless wherever they be. Mother's dead, her baby taken. The scales are suffering, the grief of Kos. Do you hear it, a sealess void? The Lair of Beasts, where the Blood-mad roam A bottomless curse, a bottomless sea. Source of all greatness, all things that be. A call to the bloodless, wherever they be. Fix your ears to hear our calls; Kos, we beckoned and Kos no more. Forgiveness upon us, curse the fiends."

The Orphan's kanjis also are a wordplay, as it can be translated as Echo of Kos or Last Wills of Kos, intending what we fight is the child but also the avatar of Kos's rage.
And for Kos-Rom, this could be a re-use of an original but cut concept, as originally Ebrietas's name was Kos, and we find Ebrietas crying on Rom's corpse. Now the canon idea is Rom was a member of Church/A villager and Kos blessed her/the study of Kos's baby turned her into a Great One.

When Micolash is saying, Oh great Kosm, Grant us eyes, It's pretty certain he is referring to Kos who washed up ashore, And they used his body to gain audience with great ones(Which is why you got the hunter's nightmare)

My Hunter's mark tattoo is flaring. Love the content. Going through the playlist now.

Really great video. I really enjoyed it. Great impressions of the voice acting too! 👌

The script on this one is 10/10 and the narration is top notch!

Commenting to bump cause i love this new channel

finally a real channel 🙏 Keep the good videos coming

that oedon part, man it opened my eyes to even more lore. f'uck I love these games man!

Quick note: Vacuous doesn't 'literally' translate to stupid. It colloquially translates to stupid. Literally it translates to 'empty' or 'void'

Could the umbilical cord used to form the pack with the moon presence have come from the orphan of Kos?
