3:20 - he's not only a poor leader, but he didn't teach his son to actually drink properly. Boy is pouring skooma down the front of his shirt instead of into his mouth.

A very nice little detail about Skingrad: There is no silver dinnerware in Castle Skingrad.

Count Janus must not like the color...

I love how a dead count is better than the count of Bravil

Castle Skingrad is so beautiful. By far my favourite location in Oblivion. Props to Janus, I knew from the first second he’s gonna be #1. Most other Counts barely deserve the name.

Hassildor has always been my favorite count as he’s shown himself to be not just a competent leader and wise man, but also actually caring for his people.

You forgot some lore. Its mentioned in a book in Skyrim that the Skingrad is eventually outed as a vampire but the whole City stands behind him because he's such a good leader and gets rid of the Vigilants of Stendar that come for him.

I would have given the Caros last place for the torture stuff. That is enough to make them last place, pushing the dead guy up 1 place.

Skingrad has my favorite count, but home is always in anvil. I can't help myself

I love that the dead count isn't dead last.

I think the count involved with torturing and murdering their innocent subjects would be classified as the worst

I was ascending to godhood but then u dropped a video and i had to embrace mortality once more, Damn you master neloth!

My boy Count Hassildor ftw! Other than the fact that Skingrad is just freaking beautiful, it's also very clear that the populace respects if not loves him. Man is a good at his job, cares about his wife, and proves that vamps in Elder Scrolls can make a positive difference on mortals.
Plus he's just a nice guy, which I really like about him lol

one of the worst parts about indarys to me was how, if you let farwil die, he doesn’t seem to give a fuck at all. just says some pithy nothings about losing his son and then treats you like a hero. it’s so awful 😭😭😭

Hey, say what you want about the Knights of the Thorn, but they did willingly enter an Oblivion gate and made it halfway through. That takes some skill. More than the average braggart, anyway. Especially considering they had literally zero prep for it.

I didn’t see the fighters guild charging into the gate to save the city.

In regards to Count Goldwine's name, I think it's due ot the fact that he's Colovian, also refered to as Cyro-Nord.  The Colovians are the result of interbreeding between the native Nedes and Nords who immigrated to Cyrodiil in the ancient past.

Corvus actually becomes a semi decent count if you do the thieves guild first prior to any of the main quest. He responds appropriately to the Oblivion Gate outside Anvil, and graciously gives the Hero aid since he wouldn’t be count again if it wasn’t for us freeing him of the Gray Cowl.

Just throwing this out there. Countess Caro is always my Dark Brotherhood entry ticket.

Most recently She was struck by lightning in the Church itself. No one knows where it came from.

VERY tragic.

I remember when Oblivion first came out and I was waiting outside of GameStop to get my first copy as wee lass .

The best is the count of kvatch.  I mean he died to a scamp. Such a noble way to die.

Fun fact: Janus Hassildor was so good at his job that Castle Skingrad was featured in the hit point and click adventure game: Limbo of The Lost!

It was so good(?) that Bethesda hit them with a lawsuit over copyright infringement. Officially, this was due to unauthorized use of Castle Skingrad’s interior images, but a random guy on an Internet forum claimed that Todd was jealous of their product after 18 years of development and savagely set their lawyers upon the small indie developer.
