I think Jim was on purposely left to the hospital. If I remember right the rooms key has been slid inside the room from outside the room he woke up in so someone basically saved his life by locking the door from the outside

Infected or not, Frank's death was likely inevitable. The soldiers make the mistake of underestimating Jim, but they wouldn't have wanted to keep Frank around knowing what they had planned.

High as a kite Hannah had me rolling, the way she trolled the soliders. Especially Jones. What a muppet he was.

Now you have to watch 28 weeks later!!

One of if not the most influential rage virus film of the century. Great dichotomy of the decline of humanity when a pandemic of rage viruses attack

This is one of the most iconic zombie movies so you’re in for a hell of a ride with these movies. :)

I love this one so much, Abby!  I'm grateful to have seen it on the big screen back in the day.  🧟‍♀

The one line that makes me pull my hair out is Frank saying it'll take 2-3 days to get from London to Manchester. Once they get out of the city, the roads are all clear. You'd get there the same day, it's only a 4 and a half hour drive.

Factoring in the fuel problem and blocked roads getting out of London itself, it would be - worst case scenario - half a day to get from London to Manchester.

great film, I used to watch this film as kid and have nightmares and cry at nights but still watched it other days haha I loved ur reaction and the commentary, I hope u also bring to 28 weeks later and 28 years later in the future, I suscribe!

13:21 Lilt was rebranded as Fanta pineapple and grapefruit in 2023

I'm pretty sure this movies opening inspired the walking dead with rick awakening after the apocalypse has started already

"stop having fun please" :'D

just discovered your channel and wow im SO impressed. so smart, perfectly timed, basically saying everything i was thinking when i watched it. hell yeah

28 Weeks Later is kinda it's own separate movie, but 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple continue the story. I highly recommend the 28 Years movies. You could skip Weeks if it doesn't vibe with you

Had to drop this right before my trig class 😂 finally 5 hours later I can watch this

One of the most interesting facts about this film, is that it kind of birthed the whole “fast zombies” concept. Before this, zombies were typically slow and lumbering. Dragging themselves to the prey mindlessly. This is the 1st major production showing a quick zombie! So so cool. I loved this film when it 1st came out. Excited for this reaction.

3:37 Waking up without essential knowledge or with amnesia is a trope that allows a writer to put the character and the audience in the same shoes. They both don't know what's happening and the audience learns along with the character. Can be done well or extremely poorly, though there are some who think it's always cheap.

Video games are infamous for "amnesia." Character wakes up with no one around and no memories at all, and... go! The trope is used so often that it's become an open in-joke. 🤣 All the way back to the beginning, too. I knew about the cliché by 1991 and i just was too young to know before that.

I have lived in North East England 32 years and yes it can rain a lot but it can also go a long time without rain such as the summer of 2024 when it went an entire 3 months without rain with a long heat wave too.

Re survival.... of you find yourself truly facing the end , every cell in your body fights for survival.... it's less a choice than its your cells fighting to keep going and it's powerfull

Danny Boyle went to Alex Garland with the idea for 28 days later he reinvented the zombie genre and  due to this films success the movie was then deemed copyright protected so if anyone were to make a sequel they would need Danny Boyle's approval, his production Team and him self along with Alex Garland approached Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and 2 more spanish directors/writers as Danny was a fan of intacto or intact, to make 28 weeks later. you should definitely check it out. Different Director/Writer but its still as good as this one some may not agree its a very controversial topic but who cares its still as good
