Fun fact: If you run away from a huntsman it will chase after you. It doesn't understand that you're running away from it, just that something scared the huge thing in front if it, and it doesn't want to die.

Huntsman spiders will eat more than just flies, they will also eat other spiders and quite often these other spiders are far more dangerous to humans than the huntsman are. So, yea, they are giant and scary, but they are also actually helping to keep you safe in the hellscape that is Australia.

It's kinda win-win situation for both of us.

Since you mentioned it during the react, it's worth noting that the drinking age here in Australia is 18 across the board, partially to help visitors from overseas relax a bit from what they're expecting will happen to them at any moment. 🍻

Don’t worry! Hawk Wasps, which is distributed worldwide.. are strict nectar eaters and are in fact pollinators and don’t attack bees.  They eat tarantulas as larva to get the protein they need to grow. You, however, are safe

5:14 So Daddy Long Legs (the one we called) aren't spiders. They don't have the spder abdomen. They are harvestmen.

I am convinced that there is a portal to hell somewhere in Australia. There is no other way to explain all of the dangerous bullsh!t down there! You cannot convince me otherwise!
