I’ve been testing the DJI Pocket 4P to answer one important question:
Can this compact camera realistically replace the larger cameras I normally use for content creation?
With its impressive specifications and real-world performance, the DJI Pocket 4P might finally be compact enough for everyday use while delivering results close to a mirrorless camera.
In this video, I cover the important Pocket 4P specifications, but more importantly, I take the camera around Uluwatu to test how those features perform in real-world shooting. I use it for walking vlogs, cinematic B-roll, handheld filming, talking shots, outdoor scenes, and spontaneous everyday moments.
The Pocket 4P came surprisingly close to replacing several cameras in my setup. However, one of its most impressive features—the 12× zoom also comes with one major limitation that could affect whether this camera is right for you.
If you are considering the DJI Pocket 4P as a travel camera, everyday vlogging camera, compact filmmaking camera, or possible mirrorless camera alternative, this video should help you decide whether you should buy it or skip it.
