#Insta360LunaUltra #OsmoPocket4P #Insta360 #DJI #CameraReview
Insta360 Luna Ultra vs DJI Pocket 4P: The Truth After Months of Real World Use! I started with the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. I used it, travelled with it, and honestly, I really liked it. So when I got the Insta360 Luna Ultra, I wasn't looking for a reason to replace the Pocket. I was actually expecting the two cameras to be pretty similar.
But after using them side by side, I started noticing something. There were certain shots, certain situations, and even certain little everyday things where I just kept reaching for the Luna Ultra instead.
And interestingly, it wasn't simply because it shoots in 8K.
These are the things I discovered that made me start preferring the Luna Ultra. Let's check it out.

My name is Sean and I am fascinated with the world of Tech, photography and videography and really wants to translate it into my videos. This channel is created to hopefully share my views, thoughts and experience about technologies, audio, gadgets and equipments that I use!

Its a learning experience for me everyday and I hope to meet people who would share my interest. Hope to hear your thoughts and comments about my work and building a community around tech and gadgets in Malaysia.

I’m curious, 🤔 which Camera would you pick for your travels?

@Sunsetglow-w9l 21 hours ago

the Pocket 4P’s image quality is still the only reason I chose it, absolutely love it.

The colors on the luna ultra look really nice straight out of camera, especially the skin tones.

You did a good job explaining why small design choices become obvious only after repeated travel. I would rather hear that kind of practical comparison than another list of numbers with no shooting context.

I appreciate that you described the footage as something you enjoy working with instead of treating the spec sheet as the final answer. For me, the Pocket 4P would need to be judged after color work and cropping, not from resolution labels alone.

I guess everyone has their own preferences. For me, I just prefer DJI’s colors straight out of camera

This is probably one of those comparisons where the travel checklist matters more than the launch headline. I understand why the detachable screen, wider view, and included protection would change someone's routine, but I also understand choosing Pocket 4P for its zoom flexibility. The video made the decision feel much more dependent on actual shooting habits.

Side by side changes the conversation.

For my workflow, the Pocket 4P sounds like the safer fit when I need flexible framing. I would accept carrying a separate hard case if the camera gives me more options once the subject is farther away.

you can try the wide-angle filter on the Pocket 4P, works great.

thanks for the effort, I already got the Pocket 4P and it feels great, haven’t tried the Luna yet though.

In my experience, insta360 luna ultra footage seems mushy around the side of walking/running footages. Seems like insta360 AI cannot processed fast images so it just makes everything mushy.

I own both and I really wanted to love the luna. But straight out of the box the 4p just looked better. Especially at night. The luna was easier to use and produced good quality but the 4p just produced better images in comparison

Techy talk Sean, good stuff!

A wide view is useful for some creators, but I would not call it an automatic win.

I’m currently trying to decide between the Pocket 4P and the Luna, but right now I’m leaning more towards the DJI. Personally, I just like the footage a lot better. Some of the Luna videos look like they’ve been dipped in a bucket of paint. 😄 I’ve watched some of your videos and noticed that you seem to prefer a more unnatural look with really punchy colors and very heavy saturation. Of course, that’s just a matter of personal taste. I prefer a more realistic and natural look, which is why the DJI appeals to me more at the moment. We’ll see which one I end up getting. 🙂

@EvertDixon-b8n 3 days ago

I think the color preference here is pretty subjective. My Pocket 4P clips already look natural enough for quick travel edits.

@Meow-im7pu 3 days ago

I feel like the Luna Ultra footage looks a bit too orange, while the DJI Pocket 4P has much more natural looking colors.

I understand that one camera may be better than another in a particular area, but a review claiming that one is better than the other in every aspects smells fishy to me.
