Can you guess if these fighting game combos are going to kill?
"Will it Kill?" is a show about funny fighting game clips, throwing rocks, betting fake points, snapping, violence and the culinary arts. We'll show a fighting game clip and pause it on one of the hits of a combo. You have to vote on whether the combo will kill or not. There are no drops, Time-outs don't count, and we try to get as close to optimal as possible.
Episode 29 streamed on September 29, 2023. You can watch all the episodes here: Will it Kill? Betting on Combos

40:24 the monologue says something like "From now on, not only your body but also your history will disappear" and I think he pretty much delivered on that

I dont know whats worse, 13 clips killing or half of the "acute" angles actually being obtuse

@notimeforcreativenamesjust3034 3 years ago

Remember, if you see a Beowulf clip with more than 2 bars, it will always kill.

34:24 "Why does she get so much meter!?"
In Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 2, there exists a mechanic called flash bonus. Every 60 frames when nobody is hit or blocks, the EX icon on the top of the screen will flash for 7 frames. If you land a hit during those 7 frames, you build like, a full bar of super meter. This character exploited the fact she locks you in place for a long ass time to hit flash bonus multiple times.

Kinnikuman Muscle Fight is full of characters with comeback mechanics, refilling your healthbar and giving you full immunity for a couple seconds and giving access to new and more powerful specials if some conditions are cleared. In this case, Super Phoenix Muscle Revenger super while doing his comeback KO's no matter your healthbar. Now that Soldier's health was down and he was floored he tried to activate his own comeback mechanic (that pillar of fire). However, Muscle Revenger had a higher priority, thus Soldier ended up instantly dying anyway. Or at least that's what I think it happened, the game's really finicky with comebacks, how they trigger, and which supers can prevent them from even happening or kill you regardless of activation.

I like how he refers to Springman after seeing how brutal that Kinnikuman super was
Not knowing that Springman, in his debut, squeezed a dude so hard he exploded into fleshy chunks

That Beowulf clip had me dead. The guy had that ready just in case Beo cleaned at the end

God that last clip, if you told me that was the finale to WIK and we were done I wouldn't even be mad. It killed.

I’ve never seen Chaos Code before but Bravo is my new favorite fighting game character of all time. The DOUBLE MEAL LARIAT is fucking insane

I watched the verix vs bean game and I saw the clip live and I remember telling myself "this is going to be on will it kill, I should remember it" and then I got it wrong.

19:52 - Very cool to see the Susano-o mod I made show up in this! It took me a very long time to replace all of Marisa's voice lines for the mod and I hope people enjoy it!

I have a pretty reliable betting strategy of always going "no" on Blazblue. The damage is high, but still constrained enough that it ends with a lot of people living. I'm glad that this time, before doing that, I noticed the blast stocks and realized that this was Continuum Shift.

@Vee_Sheep 3 years ago

every clip that pauses on the first hit of the round slays me

@excelsia.studio 3 years ago

that BBCS2 combo is why this is the best fighting game show ever

@free_playstation_2 3 years ago

I joined the stream, bet 4269 on no, lost, and left to do homework
I effectively one and done'd the show this time lmfao

35:50 had I known he packed that much FUCKING HEAT, I would’ve changed my vote 😭

@khdean121 2 years ago

The Lamda clip was like unlocking a core childhood memory. Hit yes yes faster then Makoto killing you on release.

Kinnikuman Muscle Fight is incredible. It's kind of a customizable fighting game in where you download characters separately (kind of like MUGEN but a bit more rudimentary), from the year 2000, that still gets new content today. And all to be as accurate to the source material as possible, with some gags added to the mix. For every regular move there's probably a secret interaction with very specific conditions and characters, just to recreate scenes from the manga or the old anime, cutscenes and all. They even started adapting new parts of the manga (2011 onwards) and added some sentence mixing to get new voice clips for those scenes.

By the way there's a new anime coming up, and a teaser came out today.
