Would've loved to see Thundercat's reaction to this!

I want to hear Matthew and Thundercat together on a track so damn bad now.

@misterhorse8327 5 months ago

I know Thundercat would nerd tfo watching this.

Asking someone to recreate Thundercat from vocals and drums alone is diabolical, I’ll be damned if he wasn’t in range at the end of his take

@ajplays-gamesandmusic4568 5 months ago

I think some of the initial confusion comes from the fact that the opening drum loop is sampled from Isley Brothers - Footsteps in the Dark, and Thundercat isn't the first to sample it. It was also the basis of "Good Day" by Ice Cube.

Hears a note, turns 270 degrees and hits the right note every.single.time.

making him do an ad read is diabolical

this video should genuinely be prescribed as an anti-depressant

The guy in the booth knew, the most impressive thing to any musician: when he heard the actual tune, he immediately slams out perfect, complex voicings completely in the pocket that would take even seasoned transcribers real time to work out and settle on. This fella can work with any star he wants, being able to dial in so quickly.

Matthew's energy is amazing. His musicianship is crazy too.

How the heck he can be sooooo precise playing multiple keyboards without even seeing while I have trouble doing simple octave jumps on a single keyboard? :D Matthew is a legend, amazing player and funny as hell. We need more Matthew Pianote videos!
Also, it would be super cool to have some kind of collab with Matthew and either Jon Batiste or Jude Kofie

I love when he listens to the original song and says: "That's so funky!". Because it absolutely is.

This guy has enough musical chops for ten professional musicians 😅 this was absolutely nuts 🤯

Little brother is the epitome of Stevie Wonder he just embodies him without even trying

@deconsistancee 5 months ago

Damn! Thundercats melodies sound so much different like this. Day and night difference right there

OMG THANK YOU you actually made content featuring a blind person that is ACCESSIBLE to blind people. The simple act of making all text on screen also spoken makes it available to an entire group of people that would otherwise be left out. ❤
