What do you think the unused level was for? 🤔

My guess is that they intended to make a street level based on the scene where the toys are walking a street at night and Buzz has to motivate them to continue, but that it was scrapped because they couldn't think of enough content to fill out a level like that; maybe some of its ideas were moved into Andy's Neighborhood and/or Alleys and Gullies

Man,we need to find the prototypes of more niche games,I am fascinated

Toy Story 2: Enter Electro was hype

Friendship with Espeedermann ended. Now Toi Estori Dozz is my best friend 🤝

6:52 That unused level was probably for that traffic level, where you had Buzz duck in cones to avoid cars as seen in the movie.

Amazing! I love stuff like this. Interestingly, the design of the prototype Slime Time boss looks like the one seen in a screenshot on the reverse of the game manual (PAL versions anyway, unsure if this was universal).

2:33 Being red is innacurate because Toy Story 2 takes place in a different house from Toy Story 1

SPEDER-MAN! 😂

The unused level definitely looks like a boss arena to me, I dunno how big it's actually supposed to be since Buzz isn't shown inside of it, but if he's the size he should be in comparison to the traffic cones and fire hydrant then it's not very big so I can't imagine there being more than one main objective there unless this is just one part of a planned bigger stage but the wall around it doesn't have any openings to imply you were meant to be able to leave it, if your theory is correct that it was meant to take place in the part of the movie where they cross the street to get to Al's Toy Barn and Slime Time is the level right before Al's Toy Barn then maybe it was a prototype arena for Slime Time

2:30 the Problem with the example clip you used for the comparison is from Toy Story 1, before Andy moved. Toy Story 2 is naturally set in the newer house.

Man they really cut and changed alot of things they shouldn't have. I still loved the game though all the same

there was a little bit of stuff worth talking about in the jampack demo. you can enable a very early version of the grappling hook powerup, and there's a slightly more finished al's penthouse.

This is so nostalgic! Please keep doing this content! Do a harvest moon or Rugrats in Paris ps1 game!

This game was my childhood! Great to see it still has such a following today. I enjoy making 3D printed and painted models of characters from PS1 games just like this…maybe I’ll have to make TS2 my next project.

2:30 to be fair, the wallpaper is probably different because of the fact they literally moved house in the first one and the new house probably has different wallpaper

peak content, keep it up.

I always thought it was a missed opportunity there was no level based on the traffic cone scene. That would've been a better spot for the Bombs Away fight than just reusing the neighborhood aesthetics. All we really get is the Frogger-like minigame, Cone Chaos, in the Toy Story 2 Activity Center.
