After our previous defeat, we need to take what we've learned and run it back. In this nuzlocke I'm only allowed to use the first pokemon I get from each Pokewalker route. There's only 8 routes, so I need to make the most of each one! I'll be playing on Pokemon HeartGold version for this playthrough.

Gen 3 introduced Pokémon contests, so you could do a contest themed nuzlocke. Contestlocke where you showcase a Pokémon’s battling and contest potential

Sal saying "style on the hoes" took me by surprise. 😂 It's like hearing a character from a G-rated childhood film drop an F-bomb. Also I tip my (woollen) hat to Sal for redoing this run in winter, looks like that Refreshing Fields walk was extra refreshing. ❄🚶

Well, weather is a huge theme in gen 3, and it was what introduced abilities so what if you could only use Pokemon with weather related abilities?

There is surely a romhack of emerald that has only Double Battle, it's the generation that introduce those after all, It could be an interesting hardlocke

these Pokemon videos are some of my favorites u post. I know nothing about Pokemon and it's actually so fun to just hear u talk about it and explain stuff. it's something I cant really get from Stardew videos bc of how much I've played. nice video as always !!!

For Hoenn you should do a TooMuchWaterLocke; water types only and you can only use pokémon from water routes or fishing

In my childhood soulsilver run I got a Kanghaskan from my pokewalker, and that boy became my main pokemon for the rest of the game. I even convinced myself that dizzy punch was a special move that could hit ghosts because I didn't know what abilities were and that kanghaskhan had one for letting normal type moves hit ghosts lol. I still have my game and pokewalker, and I've taken to bringing my pokewalker with me again in the past couple years

Not really related to the rom-hacking concept for the emerald suggestions, but maybe something to do with dex colours could be fun, those can be really weird and would limit what you use without it being quite as rigid as mono-type lockes. Plus after emerald there's only gen v and gen ix that have colour names for the games, so if you want to use this it'd make sense to use it for one of those three gens

Incredibly funny to me the idea of resetting a nuzlocke for a good first encounter but every reset requiring a 3000 step walk. Seemingly in the snow too. I appreciate the dedication haha
