I’m 76 and starting to play piano and learning to read music, you make reading music and understanding theoretical concepts of music, simple.

The problem for me is not being able to identify notes on the staff when playing, but doing it fast enough to play a song even moderately fast and rhythmic.

It takes a bit of genius to foresee how to keep a student focussed, to simplify an explanation, the patience involved in teaching a complex instrument in a simplified manner. Good and effective class, can be rewound and relearnt at the student's pace. Keep up the good work!

I have searched videos and websites for weeks trying to find this exact content. Thank you so much. I am 65 and just learning to play. I struggle with remembering the notes but your calm slow teaching for a beginner is spot on. So many videos say beginner and they are not really for true beginners. I subscribed and will check out your app.

This guy really getting into the deep stuff I was looking for . He makes it look easier than I was expecting . So far it’s not confusing to me he’s opening my mind instead . It’s like multitasking and if so many people can do it so do I . It’s like driving stick or manual transmission once the mind got it it’s hard to forget it

This is gold. You brought back decades of forgotten sheet music reading. Still struggling to move from Do Re Mi to C D E but... awesome video.

thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! Every video out there cares more about speed and shkrt videos, they blast through the letters and say "good job you read music now" I LOVE that you took is slow and gave us examples and practice.

I grew up playing cello, and only learned to read the upper half of the bass cleff. I started Tuba in high school and learned all the ledgers under bass cleff. But i never rewlly put it all together and ive been frustrated with trebble. So much so, that when i had to seitch to violin for senior year, i just played the cello part.

Now, i am starting ti learn the haro and realized i cant be afraid of the sheet music and cleffs anymore but ive been frustrated with all the videos out there. So again *thank you*.
