I gave up piano at around 11 years old. Today I am 67! If you had been my teacher then, I would have never stopped! So clear and understandable this way. Now I think I will start again with your help. Thank you!

My daughter was able to read notes without memorizing the acronyms, she said she just learned where the notes are, so I think it's the landmark.

She knows how to teach. It shows that she loves it by the light in her eyes. This is wonderful. ❤

The first 5 seconds already tought me more than some teachers did in years.

I really like how you broke it down as "patterns in intervals" and "landmark" notes. My brain at 45 years old grasps that concept better than " Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge"

I am a lead guitar player in a band....you just explained this better than anyone I have ever seen. God bless you dear! I am finally NOT overwhelmed! It's all a matter of practicing what you teach to become familiar. The light just went on! Thank you so much!

As someone who died four years ago, i can't find a piano here- its all harps. This translates to harp studies, thankyou!

All those music classes in school and never once were we taught the upper lines were for the right hand and the lower lines were for the left hand...

For someone with almost no musical training this is so clarifying. Thank you!!!!!

Growing up with Piano lessons, I was taught with Music for Young Children, with all the little animal characters. G and C became my reference points for reading music because I was taught the mnemonics “The Grumpy Gopher sleeps on Miss G Clef’s Lap” and “If Bass Clef had three eyes he could C.” I only recently realized that they’re called the G and F clefs because those are the notes you start drawing the clefs from! G clef spirals around G, and F clef spirals out from F.
