So do you guys think I should flesh out this homebrew chapter? Maybe a Kill team?

So Gun Shields do exist in 40k.
You see them on old Company Champions, they got a Bolt Pistols on their Shield.

Using the Tamiya clear range for your gems is inspired as hell, I'm definitely gonna be putting that in my back pocket for my own future projects

Very cool! I could see them fighting Death Guard trying to move in on their swamps.

I'm currently working on an Anglo Saxon inspired chapter of my own, have been for the better part of a decade honestly mainly through creative writing but i'm finally pushing for models. Always kept running into roadblocks on how to achieve the look I wanted, but this video'll be a great resource, thank you for making it.

Really sick blend of real world historical influence and just amazing kitbashing ability. I have like 6 blood angel chapters in the works for lore building purposes that are chimera successor chapters, meaning multiple geneseeds. The one this reminds me of most was my quartz poc name in progress lol. A white scars and BA chapter with a love for melee combat as well as Aztec based culture. Of course also including the whole heart ripping out ritual type influence. They stave off the red thirst from a mass ritual every 200 years or so and seem to not be affected by most BA geneseed flaws to the imperium. They keep this on the down low and make sure they don’t get caught by any means necessary. Curved blades from lizardmen as well as thousand sons. A quartz armor effect with jade trim and hot pink neon eyes.
