10/10

the first minute sounds like Guitar Center at 6pm

The fact they wrote their entire first album as a joke is what makes me love them even more

Looks like I'm watching a public access broadcast from 1989. Groovy vibes.

I love when electric bands can perform live. They have it down tight.

True story. Saw them live in Leeds England (Yorkshire). Me and my mate started the Yorkshire chant 'york-shire! YORK-SHIRE!'. everyone in the small venue we're shouting it in unison it was awesome. Later outside we we're having a smoke and the lead singer asked for a smoke. We couldn't believe it. 'awesome gig man. You killed', as he lights his smoke. 'ah, I'm not sure about that.' I looked at my mate in disbelief. 'nah man, it was great mate!'. 'then why was everyone shouting your shit! Your shit!' we couldn't believe it. 'nah mate. Everyone was chanting york'shire. You're in Yorkshire mate. It was literally us that started it man'. The first smile spring to his face. 'no way man! We honestly thought the you Brits had intentially gone out of your way to buy tickets travel here to tell us we're shit to our face'. Brilliant.

These guys were ahead of their time, and we didn't even know it.

This song was so ahead of its time. Sounds so fresh to this day and stood the test of time

The bass line kicks my ass Everytime I hear it

Every indie band of the 2010’s desperately tried to recreate this song.

In my opinion this is the best version of electric feel.

This has got to be one of the greatest songs composed in the last 100 years.

2025 hearing this for the first time I'm 42 but I'm feeling 21 such a unique vibe. Why is this so good?

This reminded me of how chill I had it in high school. Just playing video games, partying with friends and listening to MGMT. Good times... This song <3

Can we all just take a second to appreciate the bands out there that sound THE SAME or BETTER live?! What talent...you boys fucking rock!

live version is so much cooler than original

This was the first song I got stoned to by myself. Magical times in college just finally enjoying my own company.

I met a raver girl in 2010 and had just discovered this song and would always play it at her place when she threw mini rave parties in her apartment and i would be dancing around the place and she would watch me, laughing but also mesmerized. A month later we ended up dating for about 4 years it was quite a magical experience and ill always credit this song for giving me the swag i didnt have then 🤣
