"As there is no sequel coming"

Welp. That didn't age well. And we're all so glad it didn't!

Aight whos here after 2.5

This is what makes Souls games and a select few Souls likes so damn good in my mind. Some games have excellent gameplay, but the story sucks. Some are the opposite. Very very few have both. A lot of people hate on this game, but I’ve come to love it. You doin this helps, so it’s much appreciated.

Who’s here after the 2.0 update?
I never thought that Lords of The Fallen could become so good.

Judge Cleric - Die a hero or live long enough to become the Villain

There is only a small detail that was missing: It was the queen, not the king, that made things bad. Bram was getting weak by some other mallady, not the Rhogar infection, so the queen prayed to Adyr for her husband to become strong once more. The prayer became answered, but, in turn, began to make changes on him. The Spurred Progenie is a testatement to it, and the quest of certain character attest to this. Otherwise, amazing explanation

The art direction and style for this game is amazing. Half of these paintings and art sets look like they’re pulled straight from the medieval period.

Man do I feel like an idiot after he said that the Rhogar Lords were of the Fallen God and I finally realized why the game is called Lords of the Fallen 🤡

Hour long discussion of lords of the fallen’s story?

You got yourself a new sub.

For anyone watching this after the LOTF2 announcement, during an exclusive interview with Fextralife, it was confirmed that the Umbral ending is the canon ending leading into the sequel

I just complteded my first save. This game is a masterpiece in my humble opinion. The complexity, the originality, combat, lore, the environmently mood settings. When i was in lower calrath, and the mines...i felt like i was down in pitch black mine and raging inferno up top...when i broke into the sunlight during my periodic reloading of resources at Skyrest i felt like i was actually coming up for air and sun! Beutiful game!

I know its supposed to be high Gothic, Christian faith inspired but the entire game felt a mix of the crusades and the Spanish inqusition VS demons with a Cthulu undertone. Awesome feeling

Umbral ending is the the canon one, per the second game trailers interview

Your video indirectly confirms my theory: Orius (Lucifer) whispered to humanity that Adyr was a tyrant, only so he could dominate them through his own "radiant" totality. Adyr wanted humans to be like him—fiery, strong, and accountable—whereas Orius turns them into hollowed shells that merely reflect his light. When Adyr says at the end that he only wishes to "return home," it doesn't sound like the threat of a demon, but like the sigh of someone whose own creation was stolen from him.

You know, it's kind of insane that one of the core pillars that lead to Mournestead's fall is...Judge Cleric not touching grass. Imagine the lives that could have been saved, the terrors averted, the realms saved if only someone in the Hallowed Sentinels had had the gall to drag her ass out to get some sunlight.
All jokes aside, I love that you're still doing Lords of the Fallen lore.

I gotta admit that there's something quite interesting in Adyr's next level pettiness. He could have all the bodies in the world to manifest his mortal avatar, and 1500 years of a grudge leads him to take the body of Iselle. Damn son. There's absolutely no way Mournestead isn't gonna burn in the fires of his revenge.

This dude spoke to me in thesaurus for an intro and im all ears for it

So Harkin was the first game protagonist. That's awesome, this game is a true direct sequel. Still the developers saying that's reboot hahaha.

Thank you for including lore from lords of the fallen 1, it was a flawed souls game but it genuinely was not a bad world or story, I loved it so much its why I got 2

Humanity - beat Adyr to be free from rule of God
also Humanity -  1000 years later Become slaves of god Orius
Putrid Mother - ... You know i could eat all the gods, so you will be come real free :D (in my belly) XD

I think the Putrid Mother's influence on events prior to the seals weakening is too downplayed; she is not just an opportunistic actor, but the driver behind everything. Looking at the timeline of events, it is more probable the initial plague was Umbral in nature, which helped drive the Hallowed Sentinels into paranoia and fanaticism, allowing the Rune of Adyr to twist their worship and weaken the seals when it was brought back into Mournstead. It is worth noting that no Adyr worshipper stigma or item suggests the initial plague was actually Rhogar in nature like Pieta and Judge Cleric think, and while the Rhogar plague twists forms, the dialogue of the stigmas suggests they simply suffer (wither?) and die. I doubt any Hallowed Sentinel would deny a mutated human with claws and sharp fangs slinging fire to be anything but Rhogar, and I doubt their radiant sorceries would prove so ineffective against such a plague.
