I would absolutely love more plein air demos. You're doing amazing!

This is another very good lesson about what is important when painting something that inspires you.  It is the little things we should concentrate on instead of thinking more about the finished painting.  I have always struggled with perfectionism and that is not the point of the exercise.

Thank you for another great demo!  I have mostly painted in the studio, but am beginning to do more plein air and entered a couple events this summer.  I love the desert and may travel there again this winter.  I went to Bisbee on a winter trip a few years ago.  I still have photos from that trip waiting to be painted.

Good one again Kadin!! As nice as the painting turned out, the real "Gold" (see what I did there, LOL) is in your commentary as you paint, all about the process, thinking, and seeing on the painting. Lots of people don't go outdoors to paint, which is fine; but if you do you will wonder why you never have done it sooner, there is so much to learn there that can be applied back in your studios. But I would caution folks completely new to oil painting that some work on basics is necessary before you venture out into the wilds. Don't do it because "it is a thing"!! LOL. He makes it look easy, but it is far far from that. Everything conspires against you out there and you have to think very quickly, literally on your feet, yes "on your feet", don't sit down, cuz you won't get up to see your painting, from time to time, from distance, to see if it is "working out". And you see some folks on YT going out too early and making a mess and "having the balls" to actually post a terrible painting for all to see. And a dead giveaway that they, beginners to painting, are "noobs" is their pristine looking setup. Note Kadin's stuff is a "complete mess" with paint, since this is not "his first rodeo" at plein air painting. : )

So, Kadin, it is getting nicer here in the Tucson area, and your vids are encouraging me to get out there again this fall and "slap some paint around", and "do Something" as I painter friend or mine used to say,... "even if it's Wrong"!! LOL ; )

Don't follow some other artist's rules. Don't even follow your own rules!
