VOTING IS OVER! Alex is the champion for episode one of the ‘Ultimate Art Competition’

Episode two drops soon!

just a suggestion, after all the drawings are shown, put all the drawings and who drew it with their photo for like 5=10 seconds, so we viewers can compare and see!

This has serious potential to be several longer binge worthy episodes.
Would love to see more details in all areas- contestants, challenges, interviews, technical insights, auditions, even mini how-to interludes…
Please make that happen!

Alex and Lucy wow, well all of them are fire

love the video, but it was too fast paced. would have loved more in-depth interviews of the participants.

I think they were all great. But Alex  seems a little more consistent across the challenges with his use of color and form.

Also: keep doing more of these challenges. Maybe you can do something similar to that show “portrait artist of the year”
Do a handful of competitions and the winners compete in the finals for their first paid commission. Or something like that.
Shii would be epic. Watching that is what got me into painting portraits.

I voted for Alex, mostly because I really thought that final portrait of his really popped. But every single one of these artists is craaaaazy talented and they all came across as cool people in the video. Great job!

Jordan, Lucy, and Alex definitely took this challenge. Jordan’s pieces were the most accurate/proportionate, Lucy was pretty underrated I love how expressive and unique her style is, and lastly Alex was the most outgoing-out of the box artist out of the bunch

The two $100 bills in a briefcase is killer

Lucy had the best skull imo

Lucy and Jordan both did such a good job while remaining so consistent with their style, all the artists did such a good job

Alex ate✨💅🏼 10:45

Lucy is my vote. She managed to stay consistent throughout all the challenges

Lucy (and Jordan a very close second). Almost said Alex, but he seems to only have the ability to reference and I didn't see anything that felt like it came from him. What made me realize that was honestly Alex's skull sketch. It was not interesting at all and looked like he didn't have a style or his own motion when sketching a simple still life. With Jordan's, it is a bit similar to Alex's, but Jordan had a consistent motion, almost like line art or etching style that came through in his 3rd portrait drawing using that same motion and sectioning out depth and light with color blocks instead of swift lines. The blue full figure portrait was unique, maybe not my style with the doodles around it, but that and the ghost looking bottom (even if he did that just because he ran out of time) was creative and showed that he had ideas. Lucy's were incredible across the board, but I would have liked to see her color in the page more on the last assignment, but I understand she ran out of time since she had drawn 3 faces instead of one. Her skull showed that she had phenomenal shading technique. The green full scale portrait showed that she did a phenomenal job with value and each line was carefully executed and precise, making it look more like finished work than a quick sketch, which is what Alex and Jordans resembled. With the 3rd portrait, Lucy's was interesting and also well executed. I saw more freedom taken in her art while presenting her skills almost perfectly (besides wishing she could color in more). All while being humble. I'd say Alex is alright, but maybe to take his style and creative freedom to the next level with all that ego. Jordan, you should have more confidence. That marker portrait was better than you think.

I loved Alex, mostly his red art work, he not only included values he captured her beauty better than all the others, overall I don't think I'm double voting, I think it's definitely going to be Alex, and plus, he currently has most likes.

I voted for Alex, but Lucy, Jordan and Jakob did an amazing job, too!  Anna's yellow portrait was also really beautiful. I loved the green, red and yellow portraits!

Love the little artist community you are building!

Alex you’ve been practicing for this skull forever - nailed it
Alex, you captured the model’s spirit and brought her to life. Red was on fire!
Alex, your portrait of Slew was spot on, creative, colorful. I also liked Jordan’s style and use of color, and (cough) I give props to Jacob on this one, but Alex was extra!

Skull: Lucy
Figure: Alex
Portrait: Jakob

Overall would give it to Alex. Jordan’s portrait was looking good when he had the grey colour as the shadow but I think going over it with the brown might have cost him.

alex: "reformed metalhead"
also alex: "i love red, it's passionate, it's violent, aggressive"
