im convinced that the writers thought reach was a city and not a whole planet

It baffles me that the writers actually admitted they had never read, played, or consumed any Halo media, but tried to play it off as a positive thing.

You didn't have to go through hell for us. We didn't ask you to.

I almost passed out from how many times I let out a disappointed sigh

Not giving kwan a nickname is such a burn, I felt that

IMO Paramount looked at the Halo wiki for 30 seconds and then ran a Google image search.  They sprinkled their research over a generic sci-fi script that nobody wanted to touch over the last couple of decades.

And the shitty thing, corps will view this as “video game adaptations don’t work” when really it’s just them fucking up legendary IPs.

The Halo 4 movie about Lasky's backstory was more well-written and fun to watch than the Halo TV show. Mostly because Lasky is the only good character in Halo 4 and because the makers of the movie gave some sort of a shit about the lore.

The movie is Forward Unto Dawn for anyone who's curious.

I'm admittedly a bit disappointed there wasn't a quip about Reach City on Planet Reach, but beyond that this is 100% accurate

Halo season 1- Kwans story is universally hated by fans and her character is the least popular in the show.
Halo Writers for season 2- Lets give her even more screen time and an even bigger role!!!!

Imagine taking a whole season of a show, craming it into >20 video, and it being better then the actual show

I thank you for your sacrifice in watching the show so we don’t have to

To be fair, the spartans walking to their next objective miles away when there's a perfectly good civilian owned vehicle right there is pretty accurate to certain parts of the games, probably the most lore accurate part of the whole show...

I love how you, me, and everyone else can't give a fuck about Kwan. Why did they even bother with that when the whole point of Halo is that HUMANITY IS DESPERATELY FIGHTING OFF A RELIGIOUSLY MOTIVATED GENOCIDE?

It's official: Will is a masochist.

I'm not a lore nerd about Halo but I could only get through half of the first episode. I didn't have an issue with the first group or the girl, but two of my biggest pet peeves in stories include, "guns are only effective when an important character uses them," and using the "loved one dies in front of important character" cliche when the audience hasn't had the chance to build a connect with the character. Especially this one, because the fight felt like it was over after the Spartans showed up and for a moment I believed the father wasn't going to die, which would have been a surprise. I also thought it was odd that there weren't any grunts, which could have served as fodder for the guns to work on, subverting the first pet peeve.

As for stopping at half of the first episode: A human with the Covenant. Like I said, not a lore nerd for Halo, but I'm pretty sure that's the most fanfic level of ignoring the source material and writing whatever you feel like.

"Save the cheerleader, save the world"
That was a blast from the past. 2009 called....

Every "dont care" for kwuan made my smile a little bigger. This brought a level of chatarthis i didn't know i needed.

they did Miranda so damn dirty she does nothing and is barely present in season 2

I heard "Arbiter naked" and got so excited, then remembered it was a human for some reason and got sad.
