President William Ruto has assured the public that the country is adequately prepared to deal with Ebola incidents that may arise. This comes as health cabinet secretary Aden Duale revealed that 57 contacts of Kenya’s first confirmed Ebola case have been identified, with 10 already accounted for and placed under quarantine in Nairobi. The assurance by the government, however, comes as Public Health officers union officials have attributed the entry of the Ebola patient into Kenya to inadequate personnel at border points, as their ongoing strike entered its 75th day.
