WD40 that damn chair bro i heard that

5/10 with a vision is a great way to describe YIIK

Slurping up this video like it’s a loose plate of spaghetti I’ve dropped onto my bedsheets and am desperately trying to consume before it stains

now that i'm thinking abt it those other video essays make me think of that blackbeard image where he says "this slander is so good i could die"

YIIK IS PIIK

Feels the aura

I was looking for a video exactly like this, so imagine my surprise to see this was uploaded only 2 weeks ago. Great work, was incredibly informative and gave me a new perspective I was looking for.

Great vid!

YIIK made me think harder than any game I have ever played before. It made me think about how I viewed the game before I actually played it (I love bad games, so when I heard this game was bad back when it first came out, I binged video essays on "why" it was bad), it made me think about what I thought about those critiques when I DID actually play it once IV came out, and it made me think deeply about myself. It even made me read Catcher in the Rye because I really loved Alex's monologues, and one of the tips on the game's loading screens recommended that book. That probably doesn't sound that crazy, but hadn't actually sat down and read a book in years and yet this game made me want to... It's really something else.

just off the opening I felt that, playing through IV i felt so inspired, it made me want to create. I think that was its best aspect, but I couldnt explain why. It was just that playing through it, and actually engaging with the plot in good faith, trying to analyze its layers While playing, was fun as hell. I felt, after beating it, that I still could spend hours trying to analyze it. It’s like an onion, with infinite layers that I’ll never peel. I want to have someone engage with my work like that.

Amazing video! Love the editing

i love this little video, i agree with lots of things you say here. i had the slightly unique experience of being able to experience it without the negative criticism impacting my playthrough since i played it post I.V release, and wowww wow wow. i love seeing someone make a video about this game who actually understands whats going on with the themes and story. id love to see you make a more spoiler-y type of video on I.V in the future if you ever feel the urge to

I was looking for someone who took a look at YIIK after the I.V. update because it felt like there was very little coverage. Your video was really good and I'm glad there are others who also feel similarly about this game and haven't just written it off as pointless and bad, especially after the I.V. update.

Ahhh, the good ole' YIIK review!

finally, a good fucking yiik video, thank you

pretty much perfect for both addressing the controversies and encouraging to play the game
imo you should've provided yourself a blank check on spoiling the story, or even just thrown out some plot points for the sake of building up the interest towards it but well yeah nevermind, it's not like you're meant to advertise it per se lol
but see it's just good enough to pass as something that makes one wanna play the game on their own so like. good job yeah
oh i liked the occasional emotivity too, one of the main highlights for me
would absolutely dig a more indepth assessment of y2k by you if you ever plan on doing that

YES, THIS IS SO PEAK!!!!!

YIIK gang rise

kov at his minimum shoutout!!!

Alawys looking for a new yiik video essay
