As a person who LOVES the Tyrant and Hive Guard designs and love their purpose, your ideas for the Tyrant Guard are SICK. I would love those as real rules!!!

i've always had the idea that flash gits and lootas and such should get torrent in the waaagh, no need to aim when you have enough bullets

Easily one of the best ideas you guys have had for an episode. Should you decide to make this a series, it might be worthwhile to focus on two factions, picking 2 or 3 units for each. It would help you organize both your thoughts, and help you plan out future episodes so you don't need to try so hard to remember what units you've already picked.

I’m actually impressed he independently wrote the exact same rule

Used an avatar of Khaine in my last game, killed an entire unit of intercessors (I think five, but could’ve been ten) and an ancient in one phase, it was epic as hell

I thought that wytch ability sounded familiar

Bro, this is exactly wwhat i always wanted for nids,FLAVOUR, gw make snds so unintereting rules is not even funny, godamn

For the ironstriders, it would be cool if they were able to walk over enemy units as well as terrain like super heavy walkers. Would definitely help them with the mandatory movement, and have some fun play for your dragoons if the opponent messed up his screening

It was awesome seeing you on the poorhammer dataslate podcast!

As far as the Hive guard rule. There is already units/strats/enhancements that turn off the ability to overwatch out there mostly with no way to get around that ability (ie a range limitation or something). Heck the whole Lone op tag turns off shooting unless you meet conditions, so slightly less turn off switch as that but still in the same vain as that in turning off the option for your opponent to do something.

Now if you would like to put it more like the lone op side then a flat turn off of persuasion then you could try this:

If 3 models are touching the leader model, all attacks loose persissision unless the hit is a critical hit.

This would allow you to try, and some might get through but a lot of protection. Also if the shooter can crit on 4s or 5s then more would go through so the attacker has ways of modifying the protection by ether, reducing the bodyguards or by buffing there crit number, and or rerolling hits.

For the Deathstrike Missile, would it be too much to give it something dumb like "additionally, units within 9' of the marker take Strength 5, AP 0 hit" combined with "the marker need not be on the battlefield"? Having a 9ft. template, even if it's unlikely to do anything, is silly enough to give the big funny missile some charm.
It's specifically 9ft. so that it looks like a typo, I want a FAQ saying "Is the 1-wound shockwave on the Deathstrike Missile meant to be 9 inches? No." followed by an image of a GW employee standing next to a 9ft. circular template.
It also adds some flexibility to it. If you don't want to place the rad-zone you can always detonate the missile off the table to throw out a weak hit at your opponent's side of the table.

@26:50 Great Minds, yada yada

Warhammer 40k, or Starfinder, or Gamma World... Rad Zones are AWESOME.

Just in time for my lunch break

Im here for the intro music

For orks, I know it would be competitively horrible and a terrible detriment, but I want my bloodthirsty and idiotic ladz to be that: Git To Da Fight!: Boyz squads: If there is an enemy unit within 18 inches within line of sight of this unit at the start of the movement phase, the Boyz must move at full speed towards that enemy unit (you may pick between them if there are multiple enemy units that fit this criteria).

Thank god I’m about to clock in

Fun stuff!

Holy shit, a warhammer podcast I actually enjoy listening to

It's like a pleasant version of poorhammer
